Then he talks about a pretty interesting solution.

I got no problem with the solution, but if you're looking for a scapegoat for the LA fires, try the enviornmentalists (though I don't that'll play too well in California).

Could be. However, last year the FBI detained some Al Qaeda who said they were actually planning just this sort of thing.

So ... Occams Razor, y'know?

I think it is more likely the eco-nuts as well (along with some plain nuts maybe)

They want people out. Those who think that they wouldn't burn their precious trees should remember that they would rather deer died a slow painful death of starvation or decease rather then see hunters cull the herd.

The environmentalists are not scapegoats, but real culprits. Where the logging industry was involved with the forests that have burned, there were traditionally few fires. When there was a fire, they were spotted and dealt with quickly because there were logging personal always in the forests. The leftist, Sierra Club, just couldn't stand the idea that someone could make a buck off of the "publics trees". With the Democrats help, they have literally banned all logging in California. Lumber mill towns in Northern California are now ghost towns. The people that worked in these forests are gone. If they stayed, they are on welfare.

In short, the Sierra Club, in order to save California's forest, had to destroy them.

Al Quada, ELF, ANSWER, Sierra Club - they're all after the same goal when you think about it. IMHO, of course.
