The bone scans were done in March 1991, the trial was finished by Nov. 1992. I don't know what the time frame for the trial was. It's does look like the bone scan would have been looked at by then, but Terri's parents seem to have not seen it before. Possibly Michael was still having her medical records sealed. I think you're bringing up some good points that need to be looked into. I'll keep looking for more info. Also, one of the things that was hypothesized about the bone scan was something about a bone disease, which I think would be easy enough to rule out.

He couldn't have had her records "sealed" from discovery by the defendants.

The big question in all of this--aside from the horrendous talk of bone damage perhaps resulting from a beating-is WHY did Michael seal her medical records and prevent her family from reveiwing them?
Why? What was his point?
Smells badly? No?

If it's a bone disease that caused all that damage in the 1991 bone scan, there should be plenty more damage 12 years later, easily confirmed by a recent scan.

It has been said that the bone scan was indeed sealed until three (?) years ago, when it figured in some legal proceeding. I've also heard that most of Terri's medical records remain sealed, on Michael's orders (presumably rubberstamped by the judge). Don't take any of the above as gospel until we can come up with documentation. Pat Anderson would know.
One would think the bone scan would have been damning to Michael had it been available at the malpractice trial.
