Ken Connor to help Defend 'Terri's Law'

I'm very pleased to report to you today that former FRC president Ken Connor is now working on behalf of Terri Schiavo, the disabled Florida woman we've told you so much about these past few weeks.

Ken, who prior to his tenure as FRC president made a name for himself as a successful trial lawyer in Florida, has been tapped by Gov. Jeb Bush (R-FL) to assist in defending "Terri's Law," the bill Gov. Bush signed to force an end to Terri's court-ordered death by starvation. Terri's husband, Michael, is challenging the law, saying it does not comport with Florida's state constitution.

As reported in today's New York Times, Ken is more than able to counter such claims. Not only is he a former member of Florida's State Constitutional Revision Commission, but he is also a past president and chairman of Florida Right to Life. With Ken's passion for defending the sanctity of life and his proven legal talent, we can all be confident that Terri will be well-represented on her day in court.

Please join us in praying that God will bless Ken and his team with the wisdom and insight necessary to win this important legal battle.

That is great. With these folks and the ACLJ on board, maybe Terri will stand a fighting chance in the courts.

IF he is given the opportunity to state his case! That seems to be a real problem in these Florida cases. The judges only allow in the information that THEY want to hear. Can't be having their rulings muddied up with facts.
