Mayor Koch has had little patience lately for criticism from those on the left, going so far as to endorse GW Bush for reelection.

On the whole, Ed Koch was a pretty decent guy.

He was a liberal, but he was an honest, sensible liberal. It's always been suspected that he is homosexual, but if he is, he kept it to himself and never let it effect his political actions.

Going by City Hall today, I noticed a street sign by City Hall Park that reads "AIDS Victims Plaza." I don't know who put it up, but it sounds like the sort of thing that Bloomberg would do. I can't imagine that in the Middle Ages they named any town squares "Plague Victims Square." It just doesn't give you a warm, cozy feeling.

Koch is piling on Krugman. It's going to take tons and tons of piling on exposure, though, before the air-pocketed, tiny brains at the NYTimes finally GETS IT....that it has the donkey of donkeys in Krugman.
