Examine the sentence again:

It's un-earthly technology and sight will literally blow your mind.

While you are correct that "It is" could work as a begining for this sentence, that isn't what the author meant to say. To do that, the sentence would have to be written:

It's un-earthly technology and sight that will literally blow your mind.

As it's written, if that was indeed intended to be an "it is", then the sentence is still gramatically correct. I think it's fairly clear that the author was trying to use the posessive form of "it" and did it incorrectly.
