Note how CNN always finds ways to blame Israel for everything. Yes, the previous cease fire ended with a bus bombing killing Israeli civillians in Jerusalem. No mention of the fact that they were coming from prayers at the Western Wall or that children were killed. Despite that they then go on to blame Israel for everything.

No wonder the world has such a bass-ackwards view of the conflict. They are fed a neverending stream of Palestinian propoganda dressed up as factual reporting blaming Israel for everything.

Palestinian PM: Militants willing to discuss new cease-fire

Translation: Militants need time to regroup after getting their ass kicked.

Yep. Israel giving them that time without anything in return is folly. Any bets on how much pressure the Bush administration will exert on Israel to do just that?

The good thing about this is the American people will NEVER turn their backs on Israel. WE SEE THROUGH THE BLATANT PROPAGANDA!

Probably most people on the planet are already wondering how big a Pali belt bomb or car bomb will end the next ceasefire.

As many times as the E.U., U.N., et al will buy. I just hope Bush and Powell aren't buying again.

Oh yea that's a given. Hamas blows up some civilians, the Israelis kick their ass, current Palestinian leader asks for cease fire and claims to want peace, a little time goes by and then it all repeats itself. It's beyond ridiculous.

Forgive my ignorance, what is Eretz Yisrael? Is it like 'greater Israel'? I assume it refers to the West Bank and Gaza...(this is a serious question, not a flame or anti-Israeli remark)

Eretz means land. So, literally Eretz Yisrael means "the land of Israel". The "national camp" (far right) as well as some religious parties view all of the West Bank and Gaza as part of Eretz Yisrael. Some on Free Republic clearly support that view.

Others who are right of center, or even quite conservative, both in the U.S. and in Israel, believe there is no way we can continue to rule over millions of hostile Arabs against their will. The "promised land" will be ours when meshiach comes, but in the meanwhile practical decisions that save Jewish lives can and should be made. This is where I stand, and this viewpoint is more in line with Likud and Prime Minister Sharon.

Thanks. I would fall into the second camp as well...I would sympathize with the Palestinians if they were into some sort of non violent, Gandhi like movement, or even if the PA was actively doing its best to stop terrorism. If they want to see an end to Israeli tanks and roadblocks, the solution is simple to me - stop killing Israelis!

Cease fire? Can one have a cease fire with terrorists? Hamas and the rest of the terrorists organizations have shown time and again that it's not possible. This is another joke on the civilized world.

I think the Prime Minister makes his views very clear. He is pursuing a two state solution.

I honestly think that it is unlikely that a meaningful peace agreement will happen anytime soon. I support unilateral separation: drawing a "temporary" border based on 2003 demographics, not a 1940s armistice line. I support reoccupying the territories, disarming the Palestinians to the greatest extent possible, and dismantling the P.A. Then leave them to their own deviced behind the security fence. The IDF can move in if the Palestinians ever pose a threat to Israel again. I also support annexing key areas on the Israeli side of the fence. Yes, this means withdrawing from some outlying settlements. Netzarim and Itamar are good examples. However, combined with strong military action and annexation there is no way the terrorists will see this as any sort of victory or sign of weakness.

Sorry. I disagree.

There are...22, I believe Arab countries.

Anyone with any connection whatsoever to terror, not otherwise killed or arrested in the process of being rounded-up, should be deported to one of these.

Anyone then wishing to remain would be compelled to swear a loyalty oath to the Jewish state. If they won't, they go too.

No more of this "West Bank" and Gaza nonsense.

No Arab state in Eretz Yisrael! EVER!
