Celiberal ^

The Righties:
Although they are not given as much media coverage as the celiberals, the conservative celebrities (or those that lean slightly to the right), we call them "The Righties", should be identified. These celebrities have the courage to speak out in an industry primarily flooded with liberals. We encourage all of you to take extra effort to patronize these patriotic celebrities.

** For the purposes of this site, we will define celebrity as any famous person who is NOT one of the following: show host, news personality, journalist, columnist, politician, or religious leader. It's not that these types of people are not celebrities, we just choose to not list them on this site.

The celebrities listed below have been contributed by our users.

Sort By: First Name | Last Name | Date Added Printer Friendly Version

Know of a conservative celebrity that needs to be added to The Righties list? You can contribute your own Righties here.

Bill O'Reilly....(more or less)

Went to his website to order my "FREE BOYCOTT FRANCE" bumper sticker that he has been constantly hawking. Couldn't find it anywhere without having to purchase some piece of his junk!!! LOL!1

Hate to say it but up until that moment I was a steadfast Reilly fan. Following that bait-and-switch, he is nothing more than convenient entertainment when there is nothing on SciFi worth watching.....

More from the conservative Charles Barkley, but these are more fun:

He's also being criticized for agreeing with Bill Cosby:

I'll take B.B. King and Bo Diddley over Sheryl Crow any day!

Chuck Norris is definitely conservative. If you've seen his films and his being a motivational speaker for Christian ministries, you'll understand why. Texas Ranger is still the best cop show of the 90s. Can't wait for it to come out on DVD.

John Schneider -- "Bo" from Dukes of Hazzard. Big time Republican. Susan Howard -- "Donna Krebbs" from Dallas. On the board of the NRA and Tx Comm on Parks and Wildlife. Christian.

I remember Susan Howard as a Klingon in the old Star Trek series! I know, I have a trash can for a memory. :-)

John Schneider is cool. He has restored something like 40 Chargers and made them into General Lees--with the Confederate flag up top. That's worth mentioning, because it's been disappearing from the General Lee lately. TV Land had some awards show, and the General won for coolest car or something similar. They brought it out, and it had a solid orange roof (the words "General Lee" might have appeared). Also, there's a trailer for a Dukes of Hazzard video game on one of the Dukes DVDs. The roof there is also sans flag--which is ridiculous, since a Dukes game on the market right now has the flag.

Anyway, I grew up with Schneider as Bo Duke, but I don't see him as Bo Duke when watching Smallville. He looks pretty much the same, but I guess his acting ability is such that he becomes Jonathan Kent.

I haven't watched Smallville past the first two seasons on DVD (no spoilers for season three, please), but I haven't detected any liberal crap in the show yet. I guess the Luthors could be seen as representing evil corporate America, but it mainly comes across as just those characters being corrupt--not an indictment of capitalism in general.

He also co-founded the Children's Miracle Network.

Anyway, this is a longer post than you wanted. But, there you go. :)

As seen on cyborg's About Me page:

I found a new one: Kevin Sorbo TV's Hercules

Wow! Cool! That means I don't have to regret owning Andromeda Season 1 (though, some of you Sci-Fi freaks might think I have other reasons to regret that decision). ;)

She thought he would be weak against Bush and was trying to steer the primaries that way. Come on, play along! ;)

BTW.. I think Brooke Shield is a conservative and I didn't see her on the list.

I don't know. She's always marching in Pride rallies, I believe. I don't think she's one of us.

Don't forget the golf pros.

I think we need to remember that celebs are interested in marketing themselves to an audience. Except in exceptional cases (the politically informed like Ron Silver, Ben Stein or Tom Seleck or gross ill-informed like Sarandon) they will tend to reflect the views of the audience to which they pander whether thats the 'independent films and new york art scene' crowd or the 'BBQ and fishing shows' crowd. It would be stupid to do otherwise.

Dale Earnhardt Jr has to be scratched from the list.

Come on, Jon Voight and Paul McCartney are not 'righties'.

Does anyone know if Tobey Maguire has ever said anything derogatory about Bush or the WOT?

Did a search on "Tobey Maguire" Bush, and here's one of the things I found:

Tobey Maguire signed a letter to George Bush at the Rock The Earth Summit Party on August 12th in California. It was an event hosted by Global Green USA, the U.S. branch of Green Cross International. He was with Leo and a number of other celebs.

Can't be good. Kirsten Dunce has said some anti-Bush things, I know.

Here's something Maguire said last July:

The President and the First Lady asked for a screening of "SeaBiscuit". It was a little intimidating. We had a dinner and we all watched the movie. Laura Bush is a fan of the book so she wanted to watch the movie. And even though I am a democrat, I can live with showing my movie to Bush. *laughs* No. he was cool at the screening. He complimented me and, I dont know...I have made movies before and the critics loved them but just thinking the man who rules the country, and basically a lot of the world, would love my movie...it sends shivers down my spine.

He can't be a die-hard liberal. Bush is like a cross to a vampire to die-hard liberals. I bet he's fairly apolitical, but easily led leftward by his Hollywood buds.

I got sucked into that website (newsmeat), and here are some (R) or W donors:

Jamie Farr (Corporal Klinger from M*A*S*H)
Jimmy Stewart was a long-time and frequent (R) contributor
Jaclyn Smith
Maury Povich sent $$ to W
Ricardo Montalban
Al Michaels (YESSSS!)
Troy Aikman
Mike Ditka
Dan Marino and most of the NFL, it seems
Arnold Palmer and the entire PGA tour
My man Nolan Ryan

Funny aside, because I couldn't resist: Ed Asner sent $$ to Lyndon LaRouche (D-Saturn)
Leonard Nimoy sent $$ to moron.org. Sheesh.

Did anyone add Danny Aiello (sp?)to the list? He IS one of us and told Alan Colmes so,several times,on H&S,making Alan gasp and look as though someone had kicked him in the stomach.

Jaclyn Smith

I have no proof, but JerseyGOP.com has Cheryl Ladd as a Republican. If true, we have a couple of Angels on our side! No idea about Kate Jackson, but can anyone be conservative and be in that many Lifetime movies?

Just found her. She gave to Dukakis.

Maury Povich sent $$ to W

I read that the other night, and it was a shocker. I wonder what Connie thinks about that.

They also had a list of game show hosts, and I think they had all given to Republicans--even Alex Trebek! That was another shocker.

Mike Ditka

I went to school with his niece (he says, appropo of nothing).

My man Nolan Ryan

I knew that, as he's talked about running for office as a Republican before. Basically, the sports guys you listed cancel out a lot of the namby-pamby actors the Left can claim.

I'll actually amend that, and say that letter is not absolute proof that Maguire isn't an actual, aware liberal. That's because the list of people who screened the movie for Bush reads like a who's who of the Hollywood lefty elites. Spielberg, Katzenberg, Frank Marshall. I don't know if Geffen was there. Director Gary Ross was, though, and it's my understanding that he was pretty much a red-diaper baby. Pleasantville remains one of my most loathed movies. It was just despicable. I understand Seabiscuit was apolitical, but I won't watch a Gary Ross movie.
