The Righties:
Although they are not given as much media coverage as the celiberals, the conservative celebrities (or those that lean slightly to the right), we call them "The Righties", should be identified. These celebrities have the courage to speak out in an industry primarily flooded with liberals. We encourage all of you to take extra effort to patronize these patriotic celebrities.
** For the purposes of this site, we will define celebrity as any famous person who is NOT one of the following: show host, news personality, journalist, columnist, politician, or religious leader. It's not that these types of people are not celebrities, we just choose to not list them on this site.
The celebrities listed below have been contributed by our users.
Know of a conservative celebrity that needs to be added to The Righties list? You can contribute your own Righties here.

"Yes, I think some of these people are conservative on maybe one issue..."
Yep...and the sad thing is, I don't even consider being supportive of the President or the war on terrorism a conservative position. As we've seen, we have Republicans who oppose the war and democrats who support it. This one issue isn't enough for me to call any of these people "righties"...especially since many of them have their own agendas for this support.

Perhaps, but she's still among the more classy celebrities in my opinion. She's also quite easy on the eyes, too...

Well Al Franken performed for the troops in the "good" Kosovo war.

Sort of like the conservatives in Congress and on FR who said they opposed the Kosovo war but supported the troops eh?

I'd like to see this cross-referenced with their opinion of the Second Amendment. Bet the list would be shorter if the anti-gun folks were cut.Yo Yo Ma is on the board of Handgun Control, or whatever they changed the name to. Does that tell you anything?
I don't know anything about most of those people, heck I don't even know who most of them are. But I do know that Dave Barry wrote a coulumn once in which he said he's a staunch libertarian, which to me isn't even close to being the same thing as a conservative. I love Barry's books and his humor column, but he's no conservative.
And then of course there's Governor Ahnold. When I came to that name I knew the author wouldn't know a conservative if he tripped over one in broad daylight.

...I am not picking on Arnold, his was just the first name I came to while scanning the list.
...If you scroll back through my posts you will see that I also posted about Charles Barkley, whom I respect as a former great basket ball player and currently a funny and insightful commentor on the NBA.
...I also posted about Sharon Osbourne, whom I know next to nothing about. I was curious about her because she is married to that burned out Ozzie. From the link I could tell nothing about her politics. The only thing she said that was even remotely conservative was, "pray for our British and American troops"
...You came across to me as someone with a chip on his shoulder and had probably been engaged in too many Arnie/McClintock wars. I saw them too, it seemed at times that's all anyone wanted to talk about. I tried to stay out of them because I don't live in California and have enough trouble dealing with the crooked dems in Chicago who run my entire state.
...I apoligize for any offense I gave you.
...I think our voting records are probably very similar.

And I apologize for jumping down your throat. There ARE people who appear to have little better to do than to grouse about Arnold this and Arnold that -- which was fair game IMO before election day, but now seems silly. I was wrong to confuse you with those people, in light of your more recent posts.

Dixie Carter is a life long republican and was made to act like a left wing demo in Designing Women.

BUMP!

Here's the thread you were looking for.
Here is some direct evidence which
totally refutes the claim that these Hollywood jackals are on board:
Tom Cruise
Stevie Nicks
Jerry Seinfeld
Ron Silver
on the fence (maybe they are...but I'm not convinced)
George Steinbrenner
Matt LeBlanc
The worst thing is that the vast majority of the celebs on this Righties list give very little or nothing by way of campaign donations. When you compare that to the donation activity amongst liberal stars, it's really pathetic. For example, for all the lipservice Bruce Willis has given us, he has not donated one dime to the GOP. Kelsey Grammar only 2 donations in 12 years. It seems like Chuck Norris and Amy Grant are some of the few celebs that ante up.
I have found this page to be a huge help in researching allegiences.

Jon Voight? I think a lot of this is wishful thinking. A lot of the links are broken, too.
To: Hillary's Lovely Legs
Ronald Reagan a conservative? You gotta be kidding - the guy was a registered Democrat and a union president! Conservative...feh!

Wow. Great find!
