RG - Didn't Girolami state some time ago, that he because of the extremely extensive and wide coverage this case has had, that he didn't think a change of venue would be granted. Besides he also, if my mind serves correct, mention that considering the above factors mentioned AND the cost that he didn't favor it?? I seem to recall him dropping that little bomb as a preamble to how he would "likely" address that motion, when it came up.

One last post..Fieger and all were yacking about why on earth the Pros. put on this mitocondrail witness on to open the prelim, yawn, weak case. Stan Goldman just brilliantly pointed out that the witness was put on today because of Geragros's delay and the witness was ONLY AVAILABLE today and tomorrow because of the delay!

Groan* I know that Geragos has likely settled on his defense strategy of attacking EVERYTHING that Law Enforcement did. However, THIS IS NOT THE OJ case and Judge Girolami, Thank God, is NO Lance ITO!! One thing that always gets under my skin in regard to DNA evidence testimoney, is that Defense Lawyers attack not only it's authenticity, but they ALWAYS challenge and accuse the police of having mis-handled and contaminated the sample. What the HELL do they think that a little contamination if any, ( and I believe there was NONE),would do to the results? Make it someone ELSE's DNA? It's so blinking dumb.

Okay, I've caught up again (I think). We have got to have a copy of that LKL transcript tonight! I heard all sorts of things tonight I've never heard before, starting with the missing maternity clothes were missing from the house--not pj's! That's a clincher! Prosecution wants to establish that Laci's clothes from the 23rd are missing, and they would love to place her body in the boat with the hair!

Dev I think the Judge means that he has no jurisdiction to deal with that evidence NOW, because it isn't being presented at The Prelim. It may very well be in his jurisdiction to rule on it at trial. One thing that occurs to me is that the GPS tracking may have been started by the FBI (Feds)!! I'm guessing but it seems reasonable to me that he CAN rule on these matters at TRIAL.!!

THAT is so powerful Vel. Do you and any of our other regulars remember Dr. Henry Lee stating VERY early on a talk show (LKL) I think, that the clothes found on Laci's body (if the body was found later) would be a very critical piece of evidence and could establish to a much narrower window, WHEN Laci was killed. He gave an example also, that it would be damning evidence if it was her maternity pyjamas.
