I'm in NJ, and it's very overcast here. This -may- be wishful thinking, but it really seems to me that there's is a definite reddish tinge to the clouds that is not normally there.

We have Aurora in North Central Iowa...directly abouve my house is the neatest red streak, with some blue & blue grean streaking about. I wish I had a decent enough camera to capture it...

Aurora visible directly above in Minnesota (45 deg N Latitude) and showing greens and reds.
It was so bright that I thought it was a cirrus cloud, until it started to rapidly change shape.

Tennessee-Alabama state line. It's streetlight hell in this little burg, but the Northern sky is reddish. Nothing spectacular, (not yet but hopeful), but it's noticeable.

Unusual display here in Alaska. The entire sky is glowing green from horizon to horizon, with occasional bright rays to the zenith.

It is rare to see it this strong and directly overhead. Most of the time we see it in the northern sky. I don't think I have ever seen it this bright.
