We had a very similar case here and it was the sister of a friend of mine. The guy had a girlfriend and said he could not ask his wife for a divorce. Lo and behold, their car went over an embankment with her in it. Circumstantial evidence only but the big thing is that he broke a rather stringent lifestyle pattern, taking his wife to somewhere they had never gone before.

It's pretty close to this scenario.

By the way, my dear friend, got custody of the children. He's a great guy and I have a great respect for him.
