I have. Post #76 and 77 sum things up pretty nicely IMHO. As was said earlier - typical white trash antics.

How the He$$ do any of you know if they have or have not met. Just because there was no press conference means nothing!
I am a West (BY G$D) Virginian and we are a private people. We have been hit on so much that we just don't brag. Why don't y'all mind your own business. We take care of our own!!!

>>>>>Maybe there is a reasonable explanation, but being too busy with the book and movie deals sounds too much like Chief Moose who was too busy lining up fame to apprehend the WDC snipers.<<<<
Methinks Jessica Lynch is a nice country gal caught by accident in an event beyond her control. She is not rude, she is decent.
Was "Saving Private Lynch" a PR stunt or the real event? Is Jessica's book factual account of event of fiction? Iraqi lawyer knows the truth, so does Jessica.
Methinks she avoided meeting him because she is not Clintonite brazen liar.
I am more concerned about all those who shamelessly lie about this event without bating an eylid for PR purposes.
This endangers the lives of US servicemen in future conflicts. It is not very likely that in future conflicts an US serviceman will be aided by local population. This is the real cost of Lynch stunt.

"And where does she state that she isn't going to meet with him?..."
It doesn't, but that is not the point. It is assumed he was hoping to see her. It may not have been convenient for her, it may not of made her comfortable, but that is no excuse. Regardless of her feelings, he was there to see her and she declined to do so.
Sometimes one acquiesces to another's wishes out of respect and due honor for what they have done for you. It is called courtesy, it is called respect, it demonstrates character and appreciation. It is what we hope to instill in our children; it is what we hope we may find in ourselves.
If she had the chance to meet with him and chose not to do so because of her own desires, she showed him no respect and honor. What is so hard to understand?
Again, this is all based upon the assumption she had the opportunity and declined to do so due to trival reasons.

Well, if I hear that she has no intentions of meeting with him, then I'll consider her a inconsiderate and rude little girl. Until then, I'll give her the benefit of the doubt...

Regardless of her feelings, he was there to see her and she declined to do so. None of the stories I've read indicated he was in W.Va. to see Jessica. He was invited to W.Va. by people with no connection to the Lynches.
To: FreedomPoster
Why in the world couldn't this gal take the time to meet this guy? Accounts as to what and how things really happen differ, and there is speculation Lynch is under pressure to follow the story of the events given by the Army. This fellow's story doesn't match that, and Lynch may well have felt that meeting him might expose her to problems she really doesn't need.
To: sandlady
Un-named sources speculating with phrases like "may have been" in a news report that pre-dates the Army's official report are neither oersuasive nor credible. If you want to use unsubstantiated news reports you could just as easily use the BBC's reports that state that everything we heard about her capture and rescue was false and/or staged.
Again, it should not matter one bit to you how she received her injuries. Accuracy about something which you feel passionately should matter.

I am speechless if you can't see the connection. Regardless of who invited him, he was hoping to see Jessica.

I feel this gives Americans a black eye. Jessica Lynch certainly does not reflect much I know about this nation!
I am desperately sorry for her crass behavior.

This whole Lynch story was a propaganda story cooked on the spot, and day after day more revelations surfaces, and the original story stinks more, and more. An Army clerk got captured, and treated by the Iraqi doctors, which we wanted to paint as savages, and wanted to illustrate the invincibility of our women fighters. It would have been much simpler if we have reported the truth to the American public in the first place.
To: wtc911
Do you have a link to the Pentagon report or the Army report? You've sited both. I'm not being facitious-I would like to read them.

By the way-the doctor quoted in the article gave a professional opinion-what's wrong with that. It doesn't fit within your scope, huh?

I feel this gives Americans a black eye. What does? That she would rather meet privately? We don't even know if she was in town. Such conclusions from one-sided articles are not safe.

"That she would rather meet privately?"
My, my, at her conveience... His inconvenience of risking his life means nothing? You may think as you wish, but I hope that this story will be served up to every youngster around as a reflection of selfishness at its' best.
I am ashamed of her behavior. Furthermore, I figure Fox and Friends better reflect the reactions I expect to see from Americans.
I am certain she will hastily find time to meet with him privately when she and her mouthpieces surmise that this act will affect her book and movie ticket sales. Crass!

You are drawing conclusions based on an article from CNN. You have no idea what arrangements the two of them have. Whatever. I'll give her the benefit of the doubt so as not to look foolish later.
