what happened to the reporter in Julian who wasn't responding to everybody's order to get out? If he's not gone, he just lost one of his escape routes. Fire burning on both sides of Sunrise Highway now. Winds gusting to 40 mph again. Forest Service Supervisor (they're actually running that area) reports Cuyamaca "pretty much gone".
That wind news is majorly not good.

Reporting Crew Gets Caught In Firestorm The fire apparently consumed a house where they had been filming and then jumped the highway -- a move firefighters had not anticipated.
"We did not realize there was so much smoke. Chuck could not start the truck. The fire was on both sides of the way and it met right above us. ... We just had to leave and even then... I started to realize it's not just the fire, it's the smoke and the unbearable heat. Fortunately I had this heavy coat [refers to protective gear] otherwise I wouldn't be standing here talking to you," said Lee.
Firefighters in a pick-up rescued the duo and took them down the road to another NBC4 team. The news truck was left behind and presumably destroyed by the fire.

Sigh, I remember when Chuck wasn't doing news for a while, and he had his "Eye on L.A." show. Basically, it was a bunch of jiggling women in bikinis at LA hot spots. It fit his personality perfectly.

it was a big ol firestorm on tv, that's all I saw. Then it went to some other picture.

Some firefighters worked for 48 hours straight. Some fronts over 60 miles long.

There are 7 bowls and lots of fire references in Revelation.
Revelation 16:1
Then I heard a loud voice from the temple saying to the seven angels, "Go, pour out the seven bowls of God's wrath on the earth."
And I think this is the rumor verse you are looking for, but it does not contain anything about fires. Sounds like the flames are saved for the end.
Matthew 24:6
You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come.
There is a great online Bible search engine at Biblegateway. I have delayed studying the end times, but current events are prompting me to take a closer look. Fires raging, solar blast on the way, wars and rumors of war - glad I am prepared for the entrance test!

The news truck was left behind and presumably destroyed by the fire.Oh, it's gone all right. My question is whether the cost will come out of Chuck's salary?

kooky or not, don't think it hasn't crossed my mind.

I heard some of the FF went almost 24 hours without food due to a admin snafu.

Fires in San Diego fighting the cedar fire, got their Monday lunch delivered to them Tuesday afternoon. Can you even imagine to be fighting 50 foot flames for 3 days, with no food.
To: dogbyte12
I am having a hard time typing straight, been up since 3am, gotta get up at 4 tomorrow. G'nite all. Stay safe, and keep everybody in your prayers.

My God, I had no idea. Truly no idea things could be this bad. Couple shown who'd survived by getting into their pool. The pictures are beyond description. How can anything stand in the face of this thing? They can't possibly stop this.

Any arsonist starting a fire is threatening your life and family. Shoot on sight. Absolutely!
