Why do you suppose the people of KY are "harder" on Paul Patton than they were on Bill Clinton? They voted twice for both, but now they say they like Clinton better than Patton. They are both Democrats. So why are "the people" partial to Clinton still? I also don't think Bill Clinton is going to like it if they vote for Fletcher for governor. He might come to Louisville and tell them how "disappointed" he is if they vote Republican for governor for the first time since 1967.

More than three in five had a favorable opinion of President Bush (news - web sites), who came to Kentucky on Oct. 9 to rally on Fletcher's behalf and is set to return to the state Saturday. I didn't realize Bush was coming to Kentucky again for Fletcher. It would be excellent to have a Pubbie governor for the first time in 32 years.
Chandler is a scum-bucket and part of the Patton sleaze administration. I hope he gets beat like a drum.
To: Theodore R.
Patton got caught and admitted it. To this day, Clinton never admitted crap in public.
To: Republican Wildcat
In a poll of 600 likely voters last week, Patton's approval rating was 7 percent. Wow. I though our governor here in California was unpopular. 7% is rioting-in-the-streets, burning-in-effigy unpopular.
To: Fred Mertz
So, if Clinton had admitted the truth, would he be as unpopular in KY as is Patton? For some reason, I think the "KY democracy" is a respecter of persons here. But the Democrat disarray may be sufficient to elect Fletcher.
To: Republican Wildcat
The south has been voting GOP at the national level for 3 or 4 decades, but the Dems still hold the majority of state and local offices in many southern states. But last year here in GA we elected a Republican governor, and a Repub majority in the the state senate. Now it looks like they're gonna elect a Repub governor in KY.
There are now Repub governors in VA, TN, AL, TX, and I believe in SC and MS. Hopefully the old solid Democratic south is gone for good.

Happy Chandler Jr. wants to make the election a referendum on the Bush Economy. If he loses next month to Dr. Fletcher, then the 9 Dwarfs running for President shall have to think of something else to bash Bush on.

That was until "voting Dem." didn't cost them $$$$ or jobs. Times are a changing. Both major Paper in the state, Lexington Herald-Leader & Louisville Courtier-Journal...IMHO, both Commie rags supported the Ky. 'Rat party for years (since the Civil War????)...some even show-up here. :)

A majority rules self-governance BTTT.

Just as they refused to do when Clinton was in trouble, and again when Gray Davis was down, here again in KY the Democrats refuse to ask one of their own to resign.
So down, down, down they go...
What a difference from Republicans asking Nixon to step down.

In Fallsburg, the birth place
of paul patton, they have to replace the town
signs that proclaim the birth place of ol
paul patton, needless to say
They get defaced, shot-up or paintballed.
