Glad to hear they are getting a chance to be heard and not just Mike Schiavo. Thank you Fox News, Sean, and Greta.

I think Greta looking into this is a big positive too. She will do a thorough job of covering it. That's what the Schindlers need. This is much , much , more complicated than it appears to be on the surface.

From Greta's "On the Record" - Schiavo segment - Monday, 27 oct 2003
(this was taped in the hour immediatly after the L.K.Live interview)

Greta: The husband of a severely brain-damaged woman has until Wednesday to challenge Florida Governor Jeb Bush's order to reinsert his wife's feeding tube. Last Tuesday, Bush issued the order six days after Michael Schiavo won court approval to disconnect his wife Terri Schiavo's feeding tube.

Tonight, in an interview, Michael Schiavo said: "This is Terri's wish and I'm going to follow that wish if its the last thing I can do for her".

Joining us from Tampa is Pat Anderson, the attorney for the parents of Terri Schiavo. Welcome Pat.

Pat Anderson: Good evening, You know, Michael Schiavo ALSO said, NOBODY ever talks about death, and I think he's got it quite right. He knows that these are not Terri's wishes. She was just 26 years old!

Greta: Alright, well I want to talk a little bit about, her last day before she ended up in the hospital, and the unfortunate things that unfolded since then. But, umm, when was the FIRST time he ever said that Terri would not want to be on life support?

Anderson: The first time that anybody in the family ever HEARD about that was in January of 2000. He SPRUNG that on the family. And he brought his brother, and one of his sisters-in-law down, to back him up on that, but NOBODY had EVER heard that before! Certainly not...

Greta: Well let me tell you what I'm a little bit confused about... I've got a deposition from two different occasions, maybe you can explain it to me. The first one I will pull up, its from November 19, 1993, in which Michael said: "He was talking about removing the feeding tube," meaning the doctor, "and I said I couldn't do that to Terri." Now that means his intention was NOT to remove the... at least in 1993.

Greta: That same day, in the same deposition, he said this: "I put a - after speaking with my doctor, I gave an order not to treat a bladder infection Terri had." The attorney then asked a question, "So when you made that decision not to treat Terri's bladder infection, you in effect, were making a decision to allow her to pass on?" Michael Schiavo: "I was making a decision on what Terri would want"

Greta: So in that same day, we have two conflicting things he was saying in 1993. How do I know what to believe?

Anderson: Its HARD to know what to believe with him, because he says what the occasion demands, or whats in his financial interest. He told a medical malpractice jury just exactly one year before that deposition fragment that you put up, that he would ALWAYS take care of Terri, for the REST of his life. And yet there he was within a matter of months, directing that antibiotics be withheld. Its HARD to know.

Greta: Alright, lets go back... give me a quick rundown... the day she ah, tell me what happened her last day before she ended up in the hospital.

Anderson: Terri ahh, got her hair done that day, and spent more money than he thought she should have... They had a GREAT BIG fight before he went off to work. Ahh, she was so upset about the fight, that she called her best friend from work, a girl that she had discussed, perhaps both of them getting a divorce, and taking an apartment together... She called this girl, Jackie Rhodes, told her about the big fight... She was sufficiently upset that Jackie Rhodes asked her: "Should I come over? Should I come over and spend the night with you so you'll be safe?"

Anderson: And Terri said, "No, I'll either be asleep, or pretend to be asleep when he gets home from work."... and the next thing Jackie heard, was she was in the emergency room.

Greta: Alright, um, is there ANY indications she had ANY head injuries from from any records there are... any physical injuries at all?

Anderson: There is a NOTATION that her neck was "rigid", and "stiff", and that her body was stiff, when she posit...[interrupted]

Greta: What does that mean? in the 40 seconds we have left, I'm sorry to do this time thing to you.

Anderson: Well, Dr. Hammesfahr, a neurologist who testified at a big evidenciary hearing last year, said HE had only seen ONE other neck THAT rigid, and that was in an attempted STRANGULATION victim. There's LOTS of questions about this case. LOTS of unanswered questions.

Greta: And, we're going to continue to follow this. I'm sorry to give you so little time but these fires have consumed all of our time tonight. Pat THANK YOU!

It's obvious Judge Greer is somehow inplicated. Maybe he has an agend, has accepted bribes, or is blackmailed. Or it oculd be that he is just a sadistic sociopath.

If anybody is still trying to figure out what's going on re: Terri's fight, try to catch Attorney Anderson or Terri's family members as seen on tv. They are telling it like it is and when their statement in response to Michael's appearance on Larry King Alive comes out, they'll address all of MS's LIES and ACCUSATIONS.

There's been no announcement of when that statement by the Family will be released...

Many thanks for the heads up! I really like Pat Anderson, and I am glad Greta is giving her more time, we all know Pat has a lot more to say than just the eight minutes or so that she had last night, freegards.

The more I read about Michael Schiavo and what he has not done for Terri over the last 13 years and the fact that he wants her cremated with no autopsy, the more I wonder what he is trying to hide. The total lack of logic and common sense of the whole affair has my head spinning.

I still am wondering what Michael's motivation is? What he is doing does not make sense. It is obvious he has moved on with his life. That's why I believe his determination regarding ending Terri's life is much more than right to die.

There's some kind of control factor going on with this man. Did I hear someone say he has a 14 year old illegitimate child? That would be a approximately a year before Terri became ill. It seems he left Terri a long time ago.

This leaves me bewildered. Why is he so bent on fulfilling an alledged wish of only what he and his family say was what Terri wanted when he has so obviously begun a new life?

What about the cremation plans? If anything, there should be red flags popping up.

Greta van Susteren

October 28, 2003

GRETA: Last night, Michael Schiavo broke his silence to make his case for ending his wife’s life and made some shocking accusations against Terri’s family. He said about Terri’s father, “No, because he’s always wanted the money. He always wanted money out of this. He even testified in the first trial he was angry that he didn’t get any money."

Joining us to respond is Terri’s brother Bobby Schindler. He’s joined by the Schindler family attorney, Pat Anderson. Bobby, your brother-in-law says it’s about money. Basically, your father wants the money, that’s why he doesn’t want the feeding tube removed from your sister. What’s your response?

BOBBY SCHINDLER: Well, it’s totally false, Greta. Interestingly enough, back in 1992 Michael was suing a doctor in a malpractice trial, and he was asking up to 20 million dollars to take care of Terri for the rest of his life and the rest of her life. Shortly after the malpractice money came in, in January of 1993, it was just six months later when Michael attempted to withhold antibiotics. Terri would have died from an infection she had from a urinary tract infection. She would have died, and Michael would have inherited close to a million dollars at that time. So, this notion or this accusation that my parents were in it for money is just absolutely false and just wrong.

PAT ANDERSON: Greta, the parents want to keep Terri alive. They want to keep Terri alive. It’s obvious they’re not fighting to kill her. They’re fighting to keep her alive and get her better. It has nothing to do with money for them.

GRETA: So, what’s with this money…Pat, is there….I mean, I don’t even know where the money is. I mean, I know there was a malpractice lawsuit, a successful one, but a lot of money has gone into paying for this poor woman’s medical care. Is there any money to be fighting over?

ANDERSON: Oh, no, no, no, no. No, the money has not gone for that purpose. The money’s gone into lawyer’s pockets. George Felos has received $357,000 of Terri’s money. Debbie Bushnell has received about another $90,000. All told, way more than half of the money that that jury awarded for Terri’s care has been spent on attorney’s fees and costs.

GRETA: But is there any left to fight about? How about that? Pat, that’s really my question.

ANDERSON: No. No.

GRETA: All right. Bobby, how would you describe your sister’s marriage up until the day that she went into the hospital? What was her marriage like with her husband?

SCHINDLER: Well, it was deteriorating, Greta. I mean, Terri and I had conversations prior to her collapsing that evening when she was coming to me seeking a divorce from Michael. At the time I was only in my early 20’s, and other than just listening to her, I really didn’t have much to offer as far as how to go about getting a divorce. She was extremely unhappy.

GRETA: Pat, what Michael said last night is that Terri was bulimic, and that when you constantly throw up you lose a lot of potassium, and the suggestion was that what put her into cardiac arrest was a very low potassium. True or false, and whether or not she was bulimic and this may have created a potassium deficiency?

ANDERSON: Well, the doctors I’ve consulted, and maybe Dr. Biden can shed some light on this, is that her potassium was below normal, but her blood glucose was quite elevated, so there is some speculation in the doctors I’ve consulted is that the paramedics were running a glucose solution on her before she got to the hospital, which altered her blood chemistry to that extent. The bulimia is just a theory.

GRETA: All right, and we’ll still keep digging into that. Bobby, do you ever talk to your brother-in-law? You ever have any conversations with him in the last six months or so?

SCHINDLER: No, not in the last six months. The last time I had contact with Michael is just prior to the original trial in January of 2000, and I asked him if he’d like to talk about the upcoming trial, and at the time he told me that any conversations that we would have would be through his attorney.

GRETA: And your parents, have they…I mean, has it ever been any sort of effort for all of you to sit in the room? I mean, obviously this would become a very public and disturbing problem. Any chance that even all of you sit down and somehow work this out in Terri’s best interests? Bobby?

SCHINDLER: I would love…that would be wonderful if we could do something to work this out and we can get guardianship back of Terri. All we want to do is take her home and take care of her. We just want Michael to take care of his family, and we want to take care of Terri.

ANDERSON: You know, he has an infant daughter, and he needs to concentrate on it.

GRETA: All right, Pat, Bobby. Thank you both very much.
