I am in OK, but used to live in Yucaipa and was in that area of the fire last December. I have been watching KTLA since they came on live this morning -- helicopters are now up to help fight the fire.

In fact, I was watching KTLA when the fire jumped the 118 inn one place and then two other places took off as they had their helicopter right over the scene. I love satellite or I would be getting no news on this area.

They just announced on KTLA that the wind is low enough this morning that they believe they can protect all this housing development east of the 118. Reporting Chatsworth is not in immediate danger because the winds are not blowing that way.

I was just out in Yucaipa 2 weeks ago. It is realllly dry up in the hills above Yucaipa. I was up at Pilgrim Pines if you know where that is, about a half mile above all the apple places. Bone dry there.

That's what I'm hearing on KFI, too.
