I am sorry, I am trying to stay quiet and not tie up this thread to much. Could someone explain where RIM is? I checked map quest and it placed it up above San Francisco.

Rim of the World is the name of a High School and a section of highway located in the mountain community of Crestline, Ca. in the San Bernardino Forest.

Rim Of The World is the long skyline highway across the top of the San Bernardino mountain range. There isn't a lot in the way of houses below down the mountainside that until you get to the foothills below.

Above that, however, are all the big & beautiful mountain communities like Lake Arrowhead, Blue Jay, Running Springs, Arrowbear, and Big Bear Lake amongst others.

The timber there is largely standing deadwood because of the beetles. If the fire gets into those, there's no stopping it. Those trees won't just burn, they'll explode.

The commie envirowacko degenerates have been keeping that standing deadwood from being logged out for ages thanks to like-minded fellow-travellers who set California's environmental policies.
