A buddy works for Verizon and he says San Diego will take a long time to get all their lines burned lines back up. Lots of burned lines he said.

Says they will rebuild. I feel bad for the older folks who have to start over not an easy task to take on when older.

I saw something today I've never seen while driving home on I-10 near Ontario airport. I looked up to see this Southwest plane coming in from the north, usually they come in on final from the east. I grabbed the camera thinking he might be going to crash and then he lowered his wheels, hooked a sharp right and landed. He was avoiding the smoke cloud to the east to land.

Only plane I saw so they snuck it in or was Ontario even taking flights?

The hills above Chatsworth (N) are all dry brush, lots to burn. The fire can easily drift upwards into the hills, and continue to creep eastward. It'll close the 405, the 5N, and the 14 to antelope valley, but there isn't much in the way of structures up that way.
