OMG - I can't even imagine 5,000 sq. ft. We're only 1800 sq. ft. here, 25-year-old tract house in a working-class neighborhood, and we were appraised at $300K+ five months ago when we refinanced.

The homes I am seeing are worth MILLIONS of dollars. They are saying Scripps ranch, parts are being reopened now, take proof of residence and check with on scene authorities. SOme insurance adjusters are up there now.

Well,your Demguv asked our Demguv for assistance. This afternoon Arizona sent 23 trucks and 76 firefighters over to help. You don't think it's possible that the governor of Colorado is a Republican,I don't know but the thought just crossed my mind. If so,criminal charges should be lodged against him. I am sick of the lies in all arenas.

They are now saying the flames coming down into Chatsworth expensive development are 100 feet in the air now. Some people have not left -- four families.

Regardless of the expense of the development, there's people in there that need to get out. And 100 ft. flames have got to be a monster. I'd like to see this, but from a very safe distance.

Would expect Cong Duncan Hunter will get the planes by going around Doofus and his inept people. Can imagine Hunter is talking to Arnold.

I hope so - and I suspect that Arnold is talking to Dubya on the sly. Look for the military to send help soon and for Arnold and Hunter to get positive political mileage out of it.

This is just unbelieveable that Davis would do this -- as bad as I thought he was, he is worse!

In all honesty, I don't think he's that smart - I think he's just a screw-up with a smooth delivery.

In the hope of clearing up some of the confusion, this series of photos (just taken) shows the area of Crestline/Lake arrowhead as it is right now.

Looking to the west this is the fire south of Arrowhead, moving up the mountain.

Panning right the lake comes into view.

There's still a lot of time before the fire reaches the Community. Some spot fires have already burned homes west of the shot. Appox 25 reported so far.

Butting in....you may want to call your family. There are several fires burning in and around El Cajon. I hesitate to give you any info other than that 'cuz the news is flying fast and it's difficult to keep up with the extent of this tragedy. I have friends South (SDSU area) and North (Santee) of El Cajon (where I used to work!!) and Santee was evac'd yesterday.

Prayers for your family going up.

I understand. 207,000 acres burned in the Cedar fire alone. Areas of Ramona are being evacuated now.

We were at the Miramar Air Show last Friday also. Used preferred parking with South Gate which was MUCH too far from our chalet. Wonderful show. So distressing to think that all around is now in such bad shape.

When Arnold takes over, State Government needs a thorough house cleaning and everyone removed from office that is not elected. There is absolutely no excuse for not taking the Air Force up on their offer of assistance because of Doofus and his bureaucratic office holders. And to give money to Canada instead of the USAF -- give me a break!

I already wrote my two Senators from OK asking for an investigation in Davis' non-request to the Air Force that has helped cause devastation all over the area.

Rim Forest has been evacuated -- lighting backfires to try and keep the fire from going into Rim Forest, Sky Forest, and Lake Arrowhead -- all three communities have been evacuated -- you cannot get into any of those communities -- SR 18 is now shut. The air tankers have been overhead for the last 30-40 minutes trying to stop this fire from spreading. The fire is massive.

I'm pretty amazed that we're finding out this late in the day that Arnold and Maria were out visiting folks...really makes you wonder about the media and what they're telling us when.
