Geraldo might not be the right one to approach with THAT particular argument.

Geraldo may be a cad but I have always thought that he is a compassionate man. I suspect he probably WAS hearing some of these facts for the first time, and hopefully as they get out there, people will want to know more. Maybe, just maybe, some of these media types have been duped too and are starting to recognize that they haven't gotten the whole story.

I caught part of this on the rerun. The Schindlers weren't on because of the Red Cross bombing in Baghdad.

At the show's conclusion, Geraldo asked Dardin to take the side of the Schindler's and Dershowitz to take the side of M. Schiavo and present their cases.

Elements addressed on both sides were the uncertainty of Terri's wishes and her family's desire to care for her. Dershowitz was troubled by the actions of Governor Bush and the legislature, but said, "the state should not be in the business of telling you when to die".

Geraldo concluded that all three agreed that Terri should be continued to be fed, her family should be granted custodial rights over her and give the right to life some priority in this particular instance.

They got to mention that Terri has had NO THERAPY! FOR TEN YEARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Since her disablement occurred over 13 years ago and she's not had any therapy in the last 10 years )per her father), does that mean that she received therapy for the first 3 years after that event and that 3 years of therapy still left her in basically the same state?

Thanks for the report. It so short, I missed the whole segment. Geraldo started the program (with some Princess Di thing which to me is, like, a total waste of time), so I went to the kitchen to feed the cats. As soon as I got back, the Terri segment was over!
