New threat regarding San Diego County fires.

Blossom Valley, Quail Cyn Rd, residents watering down brush above homes. Standing and fighting and winning!! A lot of fuel to burn, no homes burning yet. Scorched hillsides, so far so good. Wind picking up.

Did not get much info from the firefighting captain I talked to yesterday. They are extremely busy and going with no sleep now. They know arson is involved in a few of the fires and suspect it in others. Another friend of mine is an ex-firefighter (tryed to stop the Laguna Fire in the canyon before it got to Laguna), he said the first two fires in San Bernadino (which he checked out and talked to other firefighters) looked like arson 'test' fires. In other words, more fires were coming. Whoever they are, if they get out of so cal alive, they may try this elsewhere in the country.

Tierra Santa and Santee should keep watch on the wind, if it changes this afternoon fire can affect them.

I don't know. Several homes in Santa Paula are on fire, too. I think it's a "new" one but not extremely recent. Like early this morning new.

We had no news here last night, or this morning. I've already ripped into FOX via e-mail this a.m. about their continued noncoverage of the fires and nonstop coverage of Iraqi hotel and other drivel.

I wonder if ELF or other terror groups put out the word that this weekend would be the weekend for mass arson attacks?

I'm not discounting the Eco-terror possibility entirely, but isn't this a little out of ELF's depth? I know this is a cheap and easy way for an upstart terror outfit to put itself on the map, but what's missing here is the self-promoting claim of responsibility and the eco-symbolism that usually comes with an ELF attack.

This just seems too big for them. Unless they're working with the Islamists.

who ever they are..... I think many in FR have a very good idea who these people are. They are the same group who burned our forests here in Arizona. These people, when caught should not be shown any mercy.
