Strong support for President Bush (news - web sites) in 2004 slightly outnumbers hard-core opposition, according to a new national poll.
In an Ipsos-Public Affairs survey of 742 registered voters for Cook Political Report, 40 percent said they definitely would vote for Bush if the presidential election were today, 33 percent definitely would vote against him and 24 percent would consider someone else.
Those national numbers have been pretty stable for Bush all year but his support is down a bit from early 2002, when at least 50 percent said they would definitely vote to re-elect him.
The survey was conducted Tuesday through Thursday, Oct. 21-23, and has a sampling error margin of plus or minus 3.5 percentage points.

Jackie Mason, of the Catskills fame, said on Fox News, that Bush would win an hour after the polls close. I'm definitely going to remind people (conservatives) to vote and assume nothing.
And have an elections return party. It will end at a decent hour. And I will be sooooooooooo happy.

let's hope Jackie is right.....

He will be like his father... I voted for him once but the democrat for the next time. I don't feel he is trustworthy.

Trustworthiness obviously wasn't your standard in 1992.

The race will be over then regardless. Presidents running for re-election don't have close re-election races. It's real easy to vote in a re-election race for president-- to fire or not to fire. Other things like the opposing candidate is almost an afterthought.
No president has lost re-election as long as things are at least "good"-- not great or even really good.

Please let us know as soon as you figure out which Democrat you would trust more than Bush.

And you feel Clinton is trustworthy. I think we can all gauge your credibility with that post.
