I found this tidbit only now.
An article written by David Sommer - published Aug. 28, 2003
"But appeals courts have already looked at the guardian issue and decided that Greer fulfills that role, the judge said Tuesday. Also, Greer said, he is under specific orders from the 2nd District Court of Appeal to schedule the removal of Schiavo's feeding tube."

I'd certainly be interested in exactly what the 2nd Court of Appeals said to Greer. There is no "right to die" here. Terri has a right NOT to be deprived of life under the first and fourteenth amendments to the Constitution. This charade in courts has been far short of "due process," and in any case, there is no constitutional authority to kill her even if she has had "due process." The judges appear to be ordering a murder.

Greer said, he is under specific orders from the 2nd District Court of Appeal to schedule the removal of Schiavo's feeding tube. If true, that would help explain why all appeals are quickly turned down. Another abuse of power, it sounds like. Either that, or blatant corruption.
