In plain speech, a quad is still a functioning person, Terri Schiavo is an end table.

Her case is totally different, and I challenge you to find a quote by me that says she is "dying". I said she is already dead, her body just remains.

Let me speak slowly and clearly for you, because obviously you aren't getting what I'm saying. YOU said:

So, she is "not dying" only because she is being fed, according to you. The same can be said about Quadrapilegics, newborn babies and others who can't feed themselves. Admit it, by your logic they are only "not dying" because they are being fed.

NOW you are saying, 'well, it's different for them because they are cognizant.' Ok, so obviously the criteria for personhood for you is not whether or not someone can feed themselves, it is cognizance. Correct?

I have 2 things to say. #1, she is not "already dead", she is not brain dead or a vegetable. I don't know why you are so determined to stick with a position that is simply not true. In sworn affidavits, there are at least 3 nurses who have said that she not only is alert and responsive but she has even spoken a few words to them. Have you taken the time to read their statements? Again, I'll make it easy for you:

There are also doctors who have said she is not a vegetable, now let me ask you. In light of the testimony of those nurses and doctors, and others, why the mad rush to kill her?

Oh, and #2. Our personhood is not determined by functionalism. That is what pro-abortion people believe, that a baby who is not aware of his surroundings is not a human being with the right to life. It's the same crowd who is now saying that Terri is not worthy of life. Terri is still alive, and she is not brain dead as you and your pro-abortion folks are claiming. So that's what happened?! Until I saw LK's interview of MS, I still wasn't sure if he had her best interests at heart. I was convinced he was pushing for the wrong thing (her death), but I wasn't sure why. It seemed like maybe he had evil motives, but at that time, my only sources of info were www.terrisfight.org and conflicting media reports. Maybe he really was a loving husband, trying to honor what he believed were his wife's wishes. Then I saw the interview. He was so transparent. He talked about having to do the same thing (euthanasia) with his own parents, and giggled about it. He talked about Terri's gynecological problems in the most disgusting way (while claiming to fight for her privacy.) The things he said, and his whole demeanor were so transparent! Now I know why. Thank you, and everyone who prayed for the truth to come out.

Our Father is amazing! MS did himself no favors during that interview-even to the point of dressing like a local bar hopper. Felos was creepy, too. I also felt there was a heavy undercurrent of genuinely vile motive seeping through his every comment....the revenge stuff regarding the Schindler's was chilling.
