So, she is "not dying" only because she is being fed, according to you. The same can be said about Quadrapilegics, newborn babies and others who can't feed themselves. Admit it, by your logic they are only "not dying" because they are being fed.
NOW you are saying, 'well, it's different for them because they are cognizant.' Ok, so obviously the criteria for personhood for you is not whether or not someone can feed themselves, it is cognizance. Correct?
In plain speech, a quad is still a functioning person, Terri Schiavo is an end table. Her case is totally different, and I challenge you to find a quote by me that says she is "dying". I said she is already dead, her body just remains.
I have 2 things to say. #1, she is not "already dead", she is not brain dead or a vegetable. I don't know why you are so determined to stick with a position that is simply not true. In sworn affidavits, there are at least 3 nurses who have said that she not only is alert and responsive but she has even spoken a few words to them. Have you taken the time to read their statements? There are also doctors who have said she is not a vegetable, now let me ask you. In light of the testimony of those nurses and doctors, and others, why the mad rush to kill her?
Oh, and #2. Our personhood is not determined by functionalism. That is what pro-abortion people believe, that a baby who is not aware of his surroundings is not a human being with the right to life. It's the same crowd who is now saying that Terri is not worthy of life. Terri is still alive, and she is not brain dead as you and your pro-abortion folks are claiming. Those nice,grainy videos were posted by her parents......who by the way share an agenda with you.
LOL! You obviously didn't even bother to click on the link, the video I gave you a link to was NOT grainy, it was perfectly clear. Why don't you just look at it? I'm starting to get an idea about your character, if you don't even care to look at what people are showing you, obviously your mind is made up without even bothering to look at anything that might contradict your preconceieved notions.
