If she had died 5 years ao of a heart attack or pneumonia, you would have never cared.

That's because I wouldn't have heard of her if she'd died those ways.

Yes, much more.

If this brings about a Constitutional crisis then so be it.

Death has too tight of a grip on this nation. It is time to wrench ourselves free from it. Had we held our leaders' feet to the fire sooner maybe this would not be the case. Because we have been complacent in these issues with only a few dedicated persons fighting the good fight, we now have an uphill battle to fight. Regardless, fight we will.

Terri is not going to go away. Not in life nor in death. In both she will have impacted society and stirred something in a large number of people that will not let them be silent any longer.

I am so glad that I did not use hospice! I took my mother to her home and I cared for her until she died. The Hospice that Terri is in has alot to answer for...do you think anyone will investigate it?

How come you never address the content of people's posts? They make points about Terri, her care, her husband, etc., and you dance around them.

That is because she would have then died of natural causes, not court mandated murder.

If it's illegal to starve an animal or convicted death row prisoner, then by God it should be illegal to starve a disabled person.

Had she died 5 years ago of a heart attack or pneumonia we would not be having this discussion. There are many people who die every day because of heart attacks or pneumonia. I don't know them all but that doesn't mean that I do not care.

It seems as if you are blinded by the facts!!! You can't even see that which is right in front of your eyes!

Someone should investigate Terri's hospice.

What the heck is your problem....Terri has been fed for 13 years and now you think it is just ok for the State to sanction murder of an innocent that cannot speak for herself? Her husband did not testify that she wanted to die when he sued her doctors for malpractice...he said under oath...that she was his life and he wanted to take care of her until he died. He said if he won he would use the money for her care and rehabilitation and he won and he did nothing...well he did try to withhold antibiotics for an infection but he was told it was illegal.

I don't understand how they waived the rules for her to be there and I don't understand them using Medicaid when there is still a little money left in her account...CNN said it was $50,000 and it was frozen by the court for now but I don't know if that is correct

I thought that a person's assets could only be about 2,000 total before Medicaid kicked in. And that assets could NOT be transferred within a year. I am not sure, but that's what I think it is or something similar.

There is NO legal document! This is all on his word! She never told her family, in all of her 23 years of living with them, that she didn't want to be kept alive on "tubes".....remember now, she can breathe on her own...she is in better shape than Christopher Reeve, for crying out loud!

Many of the threads about Terri have been contentious, but every once in awhile I've read a post that makes me feel physically ill. This thread had one of those. But at least he'll have enough like-minded company for a good game of liar's poker.

"You could smack her with a veal chop and her expression wouldn't change." Gringo1

"There is no doubt the judge looked at the credibility of the doctors." George Felos

"There is little question the Florida legislature will eventually be overturned." Jon Hamilton, NPR

"Once the governor thinks it is the proper role of the Legislature and he set aside the judgment of the courts, that requires us to get the courts to declare that is just unconstitutional." Howard Simon, executive director of the ACLU of Florida.

The Florida state Legislative action to save Terri's life is "such a tragic mistake." Janet Reno

"Reich Leader Bouhler and Dr. Med. Brandt are charged with the responsibility of enlarging the competence of certain physicians, designated by name, so that patients who, on the basis of human judgment, are considered incurable, can be granted mercy death after a discerning diagnosis." Adolph Hitler

I will not adress anyone who seems to think they know the mind of god. That is a sin and not a little one.

If there is one person who can discuss this based on the facts and not on "what god wants" then let us have at it.

And your argument is totally based on your opinion.

He is her husband, you are not.

Case closed.

There are plenty of posts on this and other Terri threads from people who discuss the facts without mentioning God.

People have tried to point them out to you. Funny how you seem to ignore them all.

Intellectual dishonesty like that does not deserve a response.

I wouldn't worry about libel. Posting info gleaned from media outlets and court documents is a pretty safe thing to do.

Also, because what kind of person her husband is has no bearing in the legal issue at hand. Where she is cared for means nothing as well, and calling it Auschwitz isn't gonna help either(like a certain someones tag-line).Repeated references to nazi germany are not going to clarify anything either,I'm glad you guys study history, but it has nothing to do with Mrs. Schiavos current plight.

Argue the legal issue instead of your feelings and we can have some sort of intelligent discourse.

Those are not facts.

They say stuff like"she can eat!"...but offer no proof.
They say"she can be rehabilitated!" in the face of the medical facts of the matter(some of which are posted at the beginning of this thread).

It is all emotion and no fact.
