Bingo! And that is the point I have pounded on when I've emailed Bush & everyone else. Right to life. Also due process and cruel and unusual punishment. Lastly, criminals get more consideration from the legal system than Terri has.

In my opinion, most lawyers side with the left wing, and victimhood mentality brings in big money. The lawyers often find some useful idiot, drag them into court to sue someone, and walk away with most of the cash.
Support tort reform!

Oh, I totally agree about lawyers, but I'm just thinking Terri's team needs some heavy duty hitters who can fight in court. Especially since it looks like half of the left wing is rolling the guns out.

Surely there are SOME decent lawyers in this country??

Many years ago, two women came before the Great King Solomon in the bible, and each woman claimed that the child in question was theirs, and wanted guardianship over it.
King Solomon said to just cut the baby in half, and to give each woman half of the baby.

But the real mother cried out, "Oh, do not kill the baby, just give it to the other mother", for she did not want to see her child dead, regardless of her loss. Of course, Solomon knew who was the real mother, and he gave the baby to her. No real mother would want their child to die!

That was just a few thousand years ago, and today we see the case of Terri Schiavo come before the courts here in the USA. To the court comes a man who claims to be Terri's husband. He has been wanting Terri to die for the longest time, and he lives in adulterous relationship with another woman, and has a child by her, and even another unborn. Michael Schiavo long ago stopped loving Terri. He claims to want what is best for his wife, and he calls it "death".

The real parents have petitioned for guardianship of Terri, but the courts have failed to recognize their position, which is simply one of love of a real parent for their child. This is something that is God-given.

Those in our courts are not as wise as King Solomon, and they have not allowed the real love to come to play in this case. Terri has been denied rehabiltation, even though she won a law suit that should have adquately provided her a chance to improve her life. Terri is now on medicare, with Michale leaving Terri as a burden to the state, while this so called "husband" has seemingly squandered almost all of the funds trying to kill her legally. Very little money is left.

I ask God in heaven to please provide us someone in the courts with the wisdom of King Solomon who cares about life and love. It is my greatest hope that in this case that life and love will prevail. I ask God to not allow evil and death to reign in our courts and in the life of Terri Schiavo, for we will all suffer for this.

Once I was comotose, and the doctor said that I would not live, but I did, and here I am. It was the patient love of my mother that pulled me through, and even when I could not talk, I knew her voice and trusted it. My doctor said that my mother was taking better care of me than any hospital ever could, and he allowed me to stay at home. May God be with Terri and her parents, and guide and protect them from all harm and the evil that surrounds them. May they be delivered from it.

The pod people were out in force today. All day, the wire services gloatingly reported that Terri's doctor had resigned, had blamed Jeb Bush, had declared Terri to be in a PVS, and had approved pulling her feeding tube. It didn't seem to enter their pea brains -- all the pod people have pea brains :-) -- that Dr. Gambone had already "quit" and signed off on his patient a week earlier when he ordered her death. Not much use for his services after that, eh?

But as we have learned, he'd been neglecting her for years anyway. Between his neglect and his trying to kill her, one might reason that his departure was cause for Terri to celebrate, not the media. With friends like him, who needs hired assassins? This nuance also escaped the pea-pod brains in the media.

I know why Gambone quit. Terri was a professional failure for him. She survived.

It is essential to the proper conduct and management of a guardianship that the guardian be
independent and impartial. The fiduciary relationship which exists between the guardian and the ward
may not be used for the private gain of the guardian other than the remuneration for fees and expenses
provided by law. The guardian may not incur any obligation on behalf of the guardianship which conflicts
with the proper discharge of the guardian's duties.

(2) Unless prior approval is obtained by court order, or unless such relationship existed prior to
appointment of the guardian and is disclosed to the court in the petition for appointment of guardian, a
guardian may not:

(a) Have any interest, financial or otherwise, direct or indirect, in any business transaction or activity
with the guardianship;

(b) Acquire an ownership, possessory, security, or other pecuniary interest adverse to the ward;



***(c) Be designated as a beneficiary on any life insurance policy, pension, or benefit plan of the ward******
unless such designation was validly made by the ward prior to adjudication of incapacity of the ward; ******
and


(d) Directly or indirectly purchase, rent, lease, or sell any property or services from or to any business
entity of which the guardian or the guardian's spouse or any of the guardian's lineal descendants, or
collateral kindred, is an officer, partner, director, shareholder, or proprietor, or has any financial interest.

(3) Any activity prohibited by this section is voidable during the term of the guardianship or by the
personal representative of the ward's estate, and the guardian is subject to removal and to imposition of
personal liability through a proceeding for surcharge, in addition to any other remedies otherwise
available.

What would Ashcroft have to do
with the fact that a disabled
person is allegedly being abused?
That aspect is being looked into
by the federal agency charged with
that duty. It isn't the Justice D.

As to Terri's civil rights, she
needs some legal hook to hang that
on under Civil Rights. She must be
a Minority(protected class) under
those statutes, I believe. Myself,
I say she's a victim of "Reverse
Discrimination". Not being a black
it seems her white "hubby" & the
white judge have license to kill.

Constitutional Rights? Of course,
they're being violated. But I'm
unaware if the Justice D. ever
involves itself in support of
individuals all around the U.S.
under a claim of such - even if
lives are threatened. There must
be massive numbers of such claims.

Everyone KEY in on him and tell him Michael Baden, Expert Forensic Pathologist SAID this should have been investigated long ago!!!

Ask him WHY he is SITTING on his HANDS and let him know you are angry and want ACTION on Terri's Behalf and nothing ELSE is acceptable!!! Send the email or fax!! I've posted the Greta/Dr. Baden transcript -- done by FL engineer -- on other threads and at http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/1007658/posts?page=110. It is awesome -- quite change from day before, Baden is no longer indifferent to the meaning of Terri's situation.

How about Judge ____ Sexton of Tampa area -- she is a guardianship judge, versed in the laws desigined to protect the disabled by position & skills, receives $$ to visit wards -- why is she not involved? Jay Wolfson of USF is NOT a good choice for Terri.

Anything more on ACLJ involved in this?

Terri needs an advocate NOW. She was dressed in hot clothes sat, sun, mon in obvious attempt to hasten her death, w/blankets. IT is so unbelievable a situation, too hellish for our comprehension. and it's on our watch.
