Today's FEEBLE attempt at humor:

The homeowner was delighted with the job the painter had done on his house.

"You did such a great job," he said as he handed the man a check, "There's an extra $80 in there to take the missus out to
dinner and a movie."

Later that night, the doorbell rang. The homeowner went to the door and found the painter standing  on the porch.

"What's the matter," he asked the man. "Did you forget something?"

"Nope." replied the painter. "I'm just here to take your missus out to dinner and a movie like you asked."

Well BBC wire report that sources are claim that UN found more nuke tech inside Iranian nuke plant in that visit from Brits last month
Also another report off Hareetz wire report that IDF busted plot that going do bada bing blast on Israeli Interest in Tel Viv area

I'm okay...it's been a rough week. I think I have the Mid-Deployment Blues. I've just been hit every evening by a wave of homesickness you wouldn't belive.

I was looking at a picture of Mini Cut last night, one of him at 1 1/2 weeks with me holding him. He's smiling and laughing in the cutest way, and wiggling his tiny hands, looks totally happy to be with Daddy.

Sorry to say, I dropped a few tears on it, and some shots of his Mommy. I'm supposed to be tougher than that, and saltier at my age.

I've been trying to fight it by hitting the gym really hard...I've lost over ten pounds since leaving the States.

Long Cut, my heart is breaking for you. It's so tough for all you guys and gals.

You're a new daddy and every dad wants to be with their family.

This homesickness does not have anything to do with being tough, you're tough and a human and you miss them.

I am glad you are here in The Canteen, and can share this with us.

Sez who?I still have my letters from my husband in the 50s when he was on a 6mos.cruise.My son was 2 months old when he left. Stoic and busy ,he still had occasional homesick blue spells,as did his friends.It was supposed to be 9 months cruise so we had a nice surprise when it changed.I can imagine how much you'd love to be with your family.Bless you,LC.

I'll get over it. Lately we've sort of been on a lull in operations, and that plus the isolation leads to time to think, maybe too much.

Mrs. Cut has been saving letters from me since we were courting, and I went on deployment in the middle of it.

She's also saving a bunch of letters I've been writing to Mini Cut. She reads them to him now, and saves them so someday he can read them as well.
