WELCOME TO THE MUSIC DEDICATION!
We are here to provide music and entertainment for our troops, their families, and friends. If we appear to be having fun as well, then you are half way to understanding the concept of this music dedication. Below you will find a variety of music. Some you may like. Others you may not. DJ Tonkin and Ma return after a long stint in the Looney Bin for Deejays. Their selections are directly below. It is highly unlikely you will find anything offensive in their sections. Please keep in mind that we consider this to be a warning to anyone that clicks anywhere on this music thread and finds something offensive. We will let you know. If you choose to click on it and then become offended, we will simply direct you to this reminder. You can mouse over to any music played by other Deejays to find out whether it is appropriate for you. Thank you!

We'd love to hear from you.

Just A Thought

As much as I'd like to believe that I'm as hip as Beth and MoJo, I'm not. So? If you look over the Current Music (MoJo's section) and Beth's Music Mix and you find that this isn't your style of music, please go to the music below. The kids don't want to offend anyone and begged me to tell all of you. So? For the sake of your eardrums and mine, please don't complain if you listen to music that is not intended for the "distinguished" members of our society. That would be all of you in my generation. (MoJo and Beth would consider us "old", but we all know better.)---DJ Ma

Yeah, one good thing about Iceland is we get a TV channel that runs all kinds of great old movies. Last week I got to watch "Kelly's Heroes", "The Searchers", "Dark Of The Sun", and a bunch of others like "Casablanca".

I swear, with only a few exceptions, modern movies don't hold a candle to some of those.

Nope, no agent. I've just got the concept, right now. I don't really even have a plot, yet, just the setting.

I'm envisioning all kinds of stuff, however, like a secret basement filled with all kinds of weapons for them to use, and I picture the women as being nearly as mean as the guys. One of them, an older lady, would be an ex-Army nurse who is quite quick with a blade, while she acts as "den-mother" to the boys.

I'm trying to work in the Colonel's son as an ACTIVE CIA agent, who comes to Dad with a "problem"...

#165. In total agreement. Todays movies, the majority of them leave us sad. I used to enjoy AMC, but they have changed radically with commercials and Since Bob Dorian left. I hardly watch anything there now, However I still catch good movies on Turner Movie Classics. The majority of the films aired there are just that, the classics. I might go check out what's to be aired today.

TCM! That's the one here, but it's the British version. They run some really good stuff, some that you don't see in the States that often, Like "The Wild Geese" (from which I shamelessly purloined the name of the bar in my story), and "Dark Of The Sun", two of the BEST mercenary movies ever made.

In fact, seeing both gave me the story idea.

See how well you have developed the concepts already??

You must do this LC, really.

P.S., I love the woman's role, want me to play her???
I am no nurse ex or otherwise, but sure can swing an axe!!!

Actually, when I envision characters, I envision the actors I'd like to play them. As the nurse, I picture someone like Karen Black (who most recently appeared in Rob Zombie's " "House Of 1000 Corpses", and played a great psychopath), or the lady who played "Stifler's Mom" in the "American Pie" movies.

G' night all! Thanks again!
