Actually, they may not have a say. The affiliate contracts as I understand them have some must run conditions for primetime. I'm not sure what those contractual rules are so they may not be weasel words. If they do have a choice to carry or not carry then they are accountable for the decision to carry it. In order to put them on the spot we would need to know the contract conditions covering their ability not to run this piece.

Local stations always have the choice as to whether or not they will air controversial programming so contacting them would be worthwhile.

However, contacting CBS is also beneficial, particularly if you mention that you will also be contacting their sponsors as well.

E-mail responses are worthless.

This afternoon I fax'd Les Moonves (President and CEO of CBS) a letter. At least someone has to have the paper in his/her hand to take it out of the fax machine. E-mails can be totally ignored.

I also fax'd my local CBS TV station, telling them that my remote has been reprogrammed to delete their station from my TV until they or CBS cancels the program.

Moonves' fax number is 323-653-8276.

KOIN 6 TV is an affiliate of CBS Network in New York. The Reagans Mini Series is being produced by CBS. KOIN 6 TV have no control over their decisions regarding the program content.

This is a lie. KOIN is not owned by CBS, so it retains every right to REFUSE TO AIR this movie. I suggest you call or email KOIN's general manager, David Lippoff, both to complain about the movie and to ask him why his "program coordinator" Nichole is allowed to lie to KOIN's viewers.

Wow! Just caught the Clips from Drudge. (filling in for Rush). This CBS hack job is disgusting!

Somehow I knew you'd come around. While it's true that reading the written word often packs less wallop than hearing it live, after seeing the NY Times article, I had no doubt in my mind this mini-series was going to be a hatchet job. Hearing the live scenes from Drudge on Limbaugh's show just reinforced what many of us already knew.

Keep in mind that much of what is discussed here at FR is based on written word. Regarding this issue, there was really no reason to question our immediate belief that CBS and Co. were out to trash Ronnie and Nancy. You didn't really believe this show was going to be fair, did you? While I accept your original decision to give CBS the benefit of the doubt until you saw it, it really wasn't necessary to do so, was it?

In short, CBS proved the old adage...if it looks like a duck, walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it's a duck...and waiting for it to fly south before deciding it's a duck is silly.

What the troll didn't realize is that the Clinton's don't want the show to be canceled. The Clinton's want to change the data.

Yeah, I know. But, it's like my dog...he keeps barking for a few minutes, even when the 'disturbance' is gone.
