Good list.
But, I think the most effective thing would be to write to ALL major companies advertising on CBS at any time, and tell them, that unless the put pressure on CBS to NOT show the movie, we will boycott ALL CBS advertisers, including them.
If all major advertisers would pressure CBS, that would do the trick for sure.
Of course, we need a list of these major advertisers and flood them with e-mail, calls and regular mail.
Your list is a good start -- we should add to it. I guess we need to start watching CBS and make note of their advertisers, especially in prime time and the large ones. They have the most impact.

My letter to WWJ-TV Detroit CBS Affiliate
CBS announced that they will be attacking the November sweeps race by airing a movie about Ronald Reagan. Partial script transcripts and actual audio clips of the production have begun appearing on various trustworthy internet news channels. THese clips are damning in their revision of the great work of Ronald Reagan and the job he did as President of the United States. Television and film producers have perfected the art of revising history and lying to their viewers, but this film is beyond anything ever seen. The scriptwriter has already admitted to making up in its entirety a dialogue between President and Mrs. Reagan regarding dealing with AIDS. Revising history, when most of the subjects of the story are still alive is reprehensible. CBS and anyone involved in this project should be forever ashamed of themselves. WWJ Management should take this opportunity to stand up for the truth and refuse to broadcast this production. Many people are discussing a boycott of CBS and their advertisers over this issue. Remember, Ronald Reagan won his elections to teh Presidency with unprecedented numbers of votes. I dare say that a large number of these voters still feel a deep affinity to this great man and refuse to see him villified in this fashion.
I look forward to your response and hearing that you will have the fortitude to stand up to the network and refuse to air this broadcast.
Sincerely,

FYI, contacted Brita. They said they would pass my complaint on to the Marketing Department. Told them I would not buy any more of their products. They said they would document that, too.

Here's a little ammunition for you.
"Gentlemen, I hate inflation, I hate taxes and I hate the Soviets. Do something about it." - President Ronald Reagan, Statement to his staff at the end of his first Cabinet meeting. 1980.
"When that fool Reagan said that the Soviet Union was a failed experiment headed for the ash heap of history, I knew he was a demagogue. When that fool Reagan said that the Soviet Union was an evil empire, I knew he was a dangerous kook. When that fool Reagan said that we could end the Cold War by escalating the arms race, I knew the odds favored nuclear annihilation. When the Soviet Union went broke, dissolved, and repudiated its past, I knew it was all Gorbachev's genius, and that fool Reagan had nothing to do with it. Because if that fool Reagan was right all along... ...what kind of fool am I?" - Jules Feiffer.

Question;
It appears that a suit may be filed. Can sponsors who knowing pay a network to broadcast fraudulent documentaries be held liable?
Considering there is no documentation to some of the worst statements attributed to President Reagan (such as the moral equivalence of AIDS and sin) there may be potential for a slander case.
Talk about deep pockets.

I gave up on CBS a long time ago. I admit I watch the CSI shows, but I get it on CTV [Canadian].
I was forced to consciously avoid CBS in toto when Letterman had the bent one as a guest on 9/11/02.
So, since I don't watch the network anyway:
Is it "fair" for me to complain to CBS eventhough I'm not in their audience?
Is it "fair" for me to complain to advertisers who are only attempting to expand their market and sales to people who
do not think like me? After all, they apparently are not going to reach me viacom CBS, ergo, those
advertisers have to go to other outlets.
However, for the advertisers to support an admitted negatively fabricated story about an alzheimers sufferer who
cannot defend himself (Drudge on Rush), is beyond the paley.

FReeped - thank you for the work it took to put these links together. For each complaint box I emailed something akin to this:
I am appalled that your company would choose to advertise during a hatchet-job movie about the Reagan, family. If your ads appear in the movie, I will no longer patronize your stores. I will not allow profits made from my purchases to support such leftist drivel.
