I guess the SUV wanted to work on a tan.

Yep, it was definitely the SUV, not the driver.

Don't you just hate it when those SUV's start running on the beach. You never know who they will step on.

It's a good thing that the driver escaped before the SUV decided to go on another rampage. It could have been a very series incident.

Another story from the axis of evil SUV's.
We need another cabinet level gummint department to regulate these 'automobiles of peace', aka SUV's.

If people would just start using "Coppertone SUV Blocker #100" these things could be avoided :-)

I am glad I don't own an SUV, seems like they are always running over people and getting into accidents.

This has happened before; the latest case I remember happened in South Beach, the trendy area of Miami Beach.
The cops was yakking on his cell phone and did not pay attention to this surroundings, but the cop found a judge who said that cops cannot be charged with negligence while conducting their duty, no matter how negligent they are.
The judge dismissed the case against the cop.

pinned under the front of the car after it backed into her Wednesday uhhh... something tells me you'd get stuck under the rear differential before you'd get pinned in the front...
Just wondering...

I never did like vehicles on beaches. Then again, there always were guys who were more turned on by a hot car than a hot girl.
It was fun watching the tide come in and swallow up vehicles whose owners think tide is just a laundry detergent.

A sport utility vehicle ran over a sunbather on the beach, seriously injuring the woman, ... Bad SUV, bad bad SUV, now go to your garage! And you get no oil after supper tonight! Bad, Bad , Bad SUV...

The driver, a 30-year-old woman whose name was not released, apparently didn't see Willits, Hensler said. The Driver is just a victim, afterall it was the SUV that ran over the person.

Moral: don't lay upon ground that others are driving upon. Let's put that on our never-to-do lists, like using hairdryers in the shower.

A pen then ticketed the SUV driver before a police car took her away for further questioning. The field sobriety test that examined her has not yet reported its results, but witnesses say that she was seen being fed by a cans of beer just before the incident.

"(AP) - A sport utility vehicle ran over a sunbather on the beach, seriously injuring the woman, authorities said."
Ah, yes. Here we have the AP pulling the Orwellian stunt of personalizing a tragedy by attributing an act of volition to an automobile.
How typical of Stalinists to mangle language for political ends, eh?
