that a Florida man disconnected from his brain dead wife From website: Terri is not a brain dead vegetable as characterized by her husband and legal guardian, Michael Schiavo nor a houseplant as implied by his attorney. Terri is not on a respirator or any artificial life support. She is a living human being and needs to be granted an opportunity to recover. Terri has not had any progressive rehabilitation or arousal therapy in more than ten years.

I agree. And, I think the therapy will work. My son uses a variety of switch devices to communicate with us and school - switches are taped recordings for yes and no and other words that are activated by touching them. There are a ton of different communication devices out there, and there will be one that works for Terri, if she is only given a chance.

I don't like what I'm hearing from the mouth of this Jay Wolfson guy - he will be appointed Terri's guardian ad litem if Terri's family and Michael cannot decide on a guardian between themselves. Jay sounds like he is on Michael's side to me.
http://www.worldnetdaily.com is reporting some interesting stuff on their news column.

Johnnie Byrd was pretty articulate this morning on WMEL-920 AM Melbourne, FL. He explained the reasoning of the legislature and how this was NOT an unconstitutional move around the judiciary. He also said that a lot of reps thought there were troubling conflicts of interest in this case [on the part of the existing guardians].

Stetson Law College, Gulfport, FL was spinning on wfla radio 970 this morning that this "was unconstitutional". I called their PR person at Stetson and explained that I was getting phone calls and we wanted to know what the heck Stetson Law College was doing this morning.
Their PR person stated that Allen, Esq. was just giving legal opinion, not taking sides. I told him I would pass the information along (because the natives were restless).
Oh, I also told him that the judicial system in Pinellas County was corrupt too. FV

#5. I've never seen so much spin in my life bar none. Pick a channel and you'll hear something completely different about Terri's case.
So, sisterj, you are concerned about Jay Wolfson being appointed Terri's guardian ad litem? He is going to be in charge of her medical only. Until further notice, Michael Schiavo would still be her guardian for other matters. We'll just have to keep following this and see my tag line. That's where the news is.

Hi! I'm in Minnesota so, I'm not sure if I'm getting correct info or not, but I heard that Jay Wolfson was in agreement somewhat about Govenor Bush and the Legislators doing something against the Constitution in Terri's case. It was on one of the listed topics before, but I don't see it now. I wasn't sure if he meant that he was on Michael's side or what. It just wasn't a comment that sounded like a good one to be made if you were going to be someone's guardian, but maybe I misunderstood. Then, I also read somewhere earlier ( may have been the same article ) that Wolfson was going to be handling just the legal proceedings, but that Michael would still be in charge. That's scary if that's true. Does anyone know the real story? I am confused, but I've also had a long day.

That's just lovely!

Correction: The incident involving Wolfson was in 1994, not 1996.
Also, on closer reading of the court papers, it appears that Wolfson's accuser did not get money from Wolfson's insurance company because the incident took place while Wolfson was acting in a business capacity, not in a personal capacity (and injuries incurred in a business situation were not covered by the policy).

I agree. Almost EVERY media person states her condition that way and they are wrong.

Thanks for the info. Wish I had heard it.

Don't just tell us. Visit terrisfight.org and email it to them. They have a conference in a few days and a hearing on Monday. Time is of the essence. Great find though. Are you 100% this is the same guy? I just got here and this is all brand new to me.

Well, we are concerned that the fix is in in Pinellas County between the judges, Felos and a pre-selected guardian if the parties can't agree on one. What are the chances that Felos won't agree to Terri's counsel's choice so that it becomes Wolfson by default?
I say they're pretty good.
THE GOOD NEWS IS THAT PRESIDENT BUSH IS BACK IN WASHINGTON, D.C. TOMORROW.

Yeah, I think once the brothers converse, whatever Jeb is really, truly in favor of, his big brother will help him achieve those results. The real experts are in the nation's Capital.
