I am so sorry about your father. My grandmother died this way, and one of my uncles is in the process. It is a horrible disease.

I am horrified that the "nursing" staff suggested to you to starve your father to death!

But, what I would like to relate to you, and everyone else who are concerned about this culture of death, is that this attitude permeates the whole medical community. We need to speak up loudly, and make our communities what we want them to be. This is our country and it is our duty to turn this culture around!

One of my uncles had a debilitating neuralogical disease. His mind was fine, but his body functions quit working one by one. He couldn't walk, talk, go to the bathroom, or feed himself. My Aunt kept him at home and my cousins and she took care of him, along with a paid aide. Everyone loved having him there, and enjoyed making him laugh. He smiled all the time. The grandchildren use to climb up in bed with him and watch TV.

My uncle was happy and his family was happy.

He got pneumonia. My Aunt took him to the hospital, where they refused to treat him! They told her that the insurance would not pay for treatment, the hospital would not agree to treat him, and neither would any doctor!! All the man needed was anti-biotics! The doctors explained that it was time to "let him go" and his "quality of life" did not merit treatment! So, they told her to "take him home and let him die"!! He died choking...basically drowning in his own fluid. It was horrible.

I did not know about this, until after the fact. I lived across the country from my uncle at the time. I learned this at the funeral.

Unless her doctors know that her swallowing reflexes are gone, it seems strange that no one has tried to do that.

It does seem strange, doesn't it. It's very interesting that Michael has not ALLOWED it to be tried.

"Considered medical opinion has ruled out any hope of recovery." And more than a dozen physicians and specialists (such as speech therapists) have gone on official record that Terri WILL benefit from rehabilitation therapy. Sadly, after a decade of deprevation purposely perpetrated on Terri by her POS husband/guardian, with the full complicity and protection of one corrupt and/or incompetent judge Greer, Terri may not benefit as significantly as she would have ten plus years ago when she received a minimal amount of therapy and had achieved the ability to say a few words clearly and express her wishes.

I spend $2.00 for the Sunday paper, that is ALL I'm willing to spend on the COMMIE APPEASER. And if it is a holiday weekend like 4th of July, Memorial Day skip buying the Sunday paper, unless you want the flyers, as there are NO COUPONS in it!

None of us knows the mind of the Creator. It's possible that Terri was being called home those many years ago.

Perhaps He's changed His mind. :-)

After all, even if Terri ever said, "No tubes for me," she might have changed her mind, once she actually found herself disabled. Many other people have decided they wanted to live, once they were disabled. (Sometimes they've been killed, even though they expressed a desire to live on as a disabled person, but that's another story.)

Even if Terri once heard the Creator's call to join Him and she ignored it, He sure is mightily supporting her will to live.

I think our Creator is glad we are holding this discussion, and He knows we wouldn't bother holding it if Terri weren't here.

It may sound weird to everyone, but I believe that all souls pick their assignment before they come down to earth - but unknowingly until the assignment needs to become evident for whatever reason. Maybe this is why Terri has hung on this long - she certainly has the will to live despite everything she has been through. She is here to teach everyone various lessons - I think, mainly, how to fight for the rights of a disabled woman. I think she'll hang on 'til everyone figures it outfor her. Prayer helped her before, and it'll keep helping her until the right thing happens. While all of these constant breaking news things keep happening regarding her case, some so unbelieveable like Michael banning her parents from seeing her for awhile, etc... I have faith that Terri has plenty to teach us before her time is really, naturally up.

WHY is it so damned important to so many liberal columnists and other scum that this woman die? How will her continued life (even if it does not meet their high standards) affect them in any way?

It is very telling that the leftist scum are so virulently siding with the so-called "right to die". It is reminiscent of NAMBLA's advocating homosexual's abuse of young boys as childrens' "rights" to sexually express themselves.

The leftists' decision to side with moral relativism against the moral absolutes which are essentially the same in every major monotheist religion forces them to choose wrong on every issue. They have chosen the side of darkness - the side of no absolute or spiritual values. If a person (or moral philosophy) chooses to be in the darkness, they will be in the dark about everything.

It is very significant that they love death - euthanasia, doctor assisted suicide, abortion (even partial birth slaughter!), no parental notification for minor girls having aboritons, the right of sodomy, etc. They love death. It is based on envy of the Supreme Person. They can't create life, so in hatred and rebellion they want to cause death.

Their infatuation with death and destruction is their spasm of anger towards God, the Author of all life.

With all due respect, it sounds as though you are a little late to the party. There have been literally dozens of threads about Terri, with mountains of information. I have spent literally hours in the last ten days or so reading voluminous amounts of information. I suggest that if you want to know the background of this situation you do the same.

Her so-called husband, and legal guardian, has FORBIDDEN *ANY* rehabilitative therapy for years, up to and including *ANY* tests to see if she can swallow. It is shameful, horrible, inhumane, cruel, and I have no idea why it is legal.
