Cartoonist Tony Auth's latest outrage (Terri Shiavo)
The Philadelphia Inquirer ^ | Oct. 23, 2003 | Tony Auth

Posted on 10/23/2003 8:04:26 AM PDT by End Times Sentinel

Leave it to Jew Hater Extraordinaire, Tony Auth to determine that not STARVING a woman to death because she's inconvenient, is actually holding up The Lord's plans.
Too bad Terri Schiavo isn't Jewish, then he could change the scene setting to Hell.

Tony's July 31st offering.
"I asked myself, 'How can I do a drawing showing that building a fence separates Palestinians and is an obstacle to peace?"
I don't think I would have picked that way, Tony.

That first cartoon seems spot on. Folks are more interested in keeping her trapped in that atrophied body with that crippled mind. Why? Is that existence preferable to Heaven?

Those fences should be concrete. Then they should be filled with water. But no, instead we keep urging Israel to negotiate with people who have open sworn to kill her.

Go back under your rock. Better yet, go back and read the other thread to see where Ms. Shiavo's previous nursing staff testify that she has atrophied due to lack of rehab and proper nutrition. PER Her ass-monkey husband's orders!

"Well, gee, Mikey's already got her 90% percent of the way, let him finish the job!"

There are people with very high IQs who are presently thinking precisely the same thing about you.

You make an excellent point!

In fact... one can argue that just about anyone's existence is tantamount to suffering in comparison with living an immortal life in heaven... therefore, maybe we should eliminate the laws against murder completely ??

At the ver least this ridiculous cartoonist is ignorant. I suspect he is a garden variety aetheist. The Judeo Chritsian God surely doesn't need OUR permission to let Terri die. He can take her any time he wishes. BTW, this jerk is also mocking God through that stupid cartoon.

My guess is this, dear hubby is frustrated. He was halted from starving Terri to death so now I'd bet they are concentrating on breaking her will to live. When that happens the rest will follow and they'll say, SEE we were right. We were the ones who treated her humanely - you interrupted it for purely selfish reasons.

Just watch. If her parents are rarely allowed to see her ... HOW much more psychological stress can she stand? She was on the brink of death with this starvation punishment for being brain damaged. I'd bet in private her dear hubby tells her some hidious things like - die ***** etc.. You can't convince me he loves her. She's just a thorn up his arse and he's got two kids by another woman who he wants to marry.

In case it wasn't obvious my last post was "sarcasm".

The issue is not whether her life is good/bad.

The issue is not whether she would be better off dead.

The issue is whether one human being can legally decide that another human being should no longer have life.

Her husband, the hospital administration, even the governor should not be able to do that.

I dunno--maybe it's that unpopular, outdated, yet nagging thing called the Fifth Commandment.

Fortunately, we don't murder people in this country because someone else believes their life isn't worth living.

By your incredibly shallow, vapid and foolish "logic", we should all just kill ourselves now, since heaven is no doubt better than our current lot. Hell, I have a bad headache from reading your tripe, shall I just speed up my appointment with heaven? Please take the time to understand God and His purpose for us before attempting any further speculation.

I don't remember who did it, but I recall someone digging up an actual piece of Nazi propaganda almost identical to that Auth cartoon. Why on earth did he get to keep his job after that, while General Boykin's comments are considered beyond the pale?

I opened the editorial page, saw the cartoon, and thought, "How shameless." I bet Auth is quick to ridcule others when they invoke notions of God or heaven, but he thinks he can do it because he's always right. I'm not particularly religious in an organized religion sense - the cartoon offends me more in the likely hypocracy of Auth.

KILL ALL THE RETARDS. SINCERELY, GUNSLINGR3

That's exceptionally cute. Particularly considering how my uncle had severe Down's Syndrome and lived to the ripe old age of 8. I of course didn't get to know Uncle Jimmy, named after my grandfather, because he died long before my parents married. But I saw how he influenced my grandparents in their donations of money to charities that helped the mentally retarded, and in my grandmother's donation of time driving the 'short bus'. I have no desire to 'kill the retards', but I don't understand why people insist on keeping the vessel that housed Terri alive. Her parents are unwilling to accept the tragedy that has befallen her, and now the tragedy is compounded. Which would you prefer, Terri's life, or the afterlife?

Why? Is that existence preferable to Heaven?

If the Good Lord is ready for her, He will take her, in His time, and on His timetable -- not ours, and certainly not on her husband's.
