DREAM Act is a Dream Come True for Illegal Aliens
Ever Vigilant ^ | 10/23/2003 | Jeff Adams

Posted on 10/23/2003 5:04:52 AM PDT by sheltonmac

The stupid party is at it again! The Senate Judiciary Committee is working on a bill that will allow illegal aliens to pay in-state tuition for college and permit them a level of residency, thus legitimizing their criminal behavior of flagrantly violating our immigration laws. The Republicans are in the lead on this latest effort to destroy our culture and our sovereign integrity.

While 85% of Americans view immigration as a serious problem, the only thing that has prevented President George Bush from granting a general amnesty for illegal aliens was the backlash from 9-11. However, the political elites continue trying to devise a way to undermine American citizens without exposing their traitorous actions. Against the will of the American people, the Republicans are pushing for a modified form of amnesty for illegals, with the help of the donkey party, to paint themselves as a politically correct, multicultural party.

The Development, Relief and Education for Alien Minors (DREAM) Act, which is sponsored by Senator Orrin Hatch (R-Utah), would lift a federal ban that prevents states from allowing illegal aliens to pay in-state tuition for college. Mind you, a number of states have already passed laws allowing illegals to pay in-state tuition, and no doubt the enforcement of the federal law over the state laws is currently in question. In addition, conditional resident status would be granted to illegals under 16 years of age who have lived more than five years in the U.S. and have graduated from high school, or served in the armed forces, or performed community service of some kind. This is a joke.

This is a sleight of hand trick to provide amnesty to illegals, as these teenagers aren’t being punished for their actions, and no doubt neither will their parents be punished. By granting residency status to minors, in turn politicians won’t want to look like ogres by expelling the illegal parents, as the kids will be left without parental authority and could end up wards of the state, or politicians will fear looking like destroyers of families. Once again, the politicians don’t want to hold people accountable for their actions (except the actual citizens of the U.S.) and will put a bigger burden on Americans by flooding our cities with illegals, thus driving down wages, draining our welfare and medical resources, and assuredly raising citizens’ taxes to shore up the depleted resources illegals will drain.

Senator Hatch says, “It will allow these illegal immigrant children the opportunity to not only dream of the infinite possibilities that their futures may hold in the United States, but it will also afford them the opportunity to realize their dreams.” Well, Senator, what about the dreams of American CITIZENS? We want our government to enforce our laws. We want elected officials to honor the oath of office they took and defend our rights as legal citizens. Quite frankly, who cares about the dreams of these criminals? I don’t care about their dreams any more than I do the dreams of a rapist, a murderer or any other criminal that contaminates our land. These people are criminals, hence the term ILLEGAL ALIEN. I’m concerned with the dreams of my children, American citizens, and the dreams of my fellow Americans who are all here legally. You took an oath to protect and defend our rights via your oath of office to uphold the U.S. Constitution.

The long-term damage this DREAM Act will inflict on our country can’t be seen by politicians, because they don’t want to look that far down the road. They are incapable of looking beyond the next election and attempting to appear compassionate. From where I sit, they have no compassion at all. For U.S. citizens that is. The DREAM Act is just another example of how the Republicans and Democrats are two sides of the same coin, and unworthy of support by all decent, honorable American citizens.

Once the genie is out of the bottle, not only will the flood of illegals increase, as more outsiders flock here waiting for the next amnesty, but the Democrats will jump on this and expand the boundaries of the Act to declare anyone who can touch our shores a citizen, qualified to vote, the second they get here. Citizenship will mean nothing.

The Senate Judiciary Committee will continue work on the DREAM Act on October 23rd. People need to let their senators and congressmen know they oppose amnesty in any form for illegals. The door was cracked open once before when Ronald Reagan signed an amnesty bill, which lead to a new flood of illegals. This is throwing the door wide open. Until the feds do their constitutional duty and shut the door, no talk of amnesty should move beyond political pundits, and definitely shouldn’t be taking shape in a bill on Capitol Hill. If this bill passes, we need to throw out of office anyone who votes for it.

My thoughts precisely.

LOL. That picture perfectly sums up the Illegal Alien Nightmare in America. Mass chaos, despair and unreality.

Yet, many of our so-called elected representatives in Congress think we need more of this.

Important Message:

Lou Dobbs of CNN's Moneyline has been relentless in covering the crisis of Illegal Immigration as well as the Unfair Trade Practices that are De-industrializing America and the H1b/L1v Visa scams that are throwing thousands of Americans out of work. He tackles these subjects head on, does in-depth reporting on them which sometimes takes up more than half his show, and invariably gets to the truth of the matter.

Mr. Dobbs is the ONLY television journalist that is really Telling It Like It Is on a continual basis.

May I suggest that all concerned Freepers drop Lou Dobbs a line at his CNN website and thank him for having the courage to cover what the rest of the media will not.

I'm sure Lou is getting a lot of heat from the "Powers That Be".

Mr. Hatch you are a disgrace to America and IMO a Traitor. May the good people of Utah do to you what the good people in CA did to Davis.

BTW, anyone here think that Hatch would be proposing this outrageous piece of legislation if he was up for reelection in 2004? Time for him to be recalled.

OL'Torchlight Hatch has a good scam going though with his "recording" career and I suppose he is paying back those business men who have actually bought his CDs with what they really want, tax subsidized labor.

The Frankenstein Act

Stupid Republicans, your “good intentions” will be the ruin of us all.

You voted to support Senator Orrin Hatch's DREAM Act (a.k.a. The Frankenstein Act).

What it is, is an illegal alien amnesty program disguised as an educational initiative.

What it will do, is give citizenship and an education to millions of illegal aliens who for the most part hate America and Americans. The only thing that these illegal aliens hate more than America and Americans is Republicans.

If you find this hard to believe, you have not been paying attention. This flawed logic has created the likes of Lt. Governor of California, Cruz Bustamante, and the large number of other anti-American/anti-Republican Mexicans that have infiltrated our government.

What you need to do is stand up and be counted, honor your Oath of Office to protect and uphold the laws, and to protect America and Americans.

Save an American’s job, family and country, deport an illegal alien.

I called Senator Dick Durbin's office at (312) 353-4952 to express my view. The lady who answered the phone at his office was pleased to hear that I intend to maker sure Senator Durbin does not get a third term in office.

Senator Durbin wants you to also call his office at (312) 353-4952 to express your view.

Hatch is an excellent example of someone who has been in Washington far, far too long.

Immaculate dresser, rocks in his head.

-First, the states have the OPTION of charging resident rates to these kids from their state, they don’t necessarily have to.
-Despite popular myths, MOST UNDOCUEMTNED PEOPLE DO PAY TAXES and thus states have the option of extending a service to a taxpayer who is already paying for it.

What if this happened to you: You grow up being a happy American child, you do pretty well in school despite your parents lack of money and constantly being uprooted every couple of years. When you become a freshman in high school, all your friends want to get their driving permits, so when you ask your parents for the papers needed to get the permit, something terrible happens. Your parents tell you about your “illegal” status in the country and if this isn’t shocking enough, this might be the first time they tell you weren’t even born in this country. You don’t know what to do .Suddenly you are an “illegal,” a criminal and you didn’t even know it.
You can’t try to obtain legal residency because being under 21, you fall under your parents undocumented status, thus are unable to make your status legal. What do you do? Do you go to your country of birth despite having to leave your parents behind, being only 15, not knowing the language, not knowing the culture, not knowing anyone in the country, and most importantly not even remembering ever being in that country? Or do you stay with your parents and the only country you have ever known and hope no one finds out. Anyone who says they choose option one is a liar.

1) US citizens form out of state have to pay out of state tuituion, so why should these kids get resident rates?
-First, the states have the OPTION of charging resident rates to these kids from their state, they don’t necessarily have to.
-Despite popular myths, MOST UNDOCUEMTNED PEOPLE DO PAY TAXES and thus states have the option of extending a service to a taxpayer who is already paying for it.

9) GWV holders shall be prohibited from claiming unemployment benefits, welfare support or free medical service.

10) The originating country of all GWV holders shall be responsible for any loss caused by their citizens, including emergency medical claims and claims resulting from illegal acts committed while in the US.

11) Companies that hire GWV holders shall submit to the Immigration Dept the name and GWV number of that individual, along with a description of employment tasks. Companies that fail to report employment of GWV workers, or hire border violators, shall be subject to fines and penalties.

12) GWV workers shall not receive unemployment compensation but shall be subject to an alternate tax equivalent to the current unemployment tax rate, which shall be withheld and be applied to border patrol activities. GWV workers shall be paid with check, having income tax withheld.

13) Border violators, or any non-citizen not possessing a valid visa, detained by local police for any reason shall be turned over to border control officials for immediate deportation action, except if they face criminal charges in other jurisdictions.

What is with these clowns?! They'll tell you it's compaaaaaaasionate, but it's nothing of the sort. Extending in-state rates to illegals means you're not only shutting out the children of American citizens, but you're making the parents of the people shut out take up the slack for the illegals in the form of higher taxes.

How much longer do we have to put up to this obvious pandering?!
