Media Filter? In a "letter to the editor" of our local "newspaper," the writer addresses another form of pc media filtering. Not on topic with your essay, but goes to the heart of the media not tellin' it like it is...

If 'illegal' means 'undocumented'

As I watched the news, I became quite concerned about some terminology. They dared to use the word "illegal" when referring to minors drinking. Shame on them! Don't they know that these minors are just "undocumented" consumers? So I want to help you with a few terms to use when dealing with what once were crimes:

Burglar: undocumented house guest.

Shoplifter: undocumented buyer.

Addict: undocumented medicine user.

Carjacker: undocumented repo-man.

Sounds ridiculous, huh? Well that's how most of us feel when you call an illegal alien "undocumented worker."

Excellent, John !! This Kennedy creep made my blood boil when I first heard this ...

But this doesn't get George W. Bush off the hook. "WEEK AFTER WEEK AFTER WEEK AFTER WEEK, WE WERE TOLD LIE AFTER LIE AFTER LIE AFTER LIE!!," Sen. Ted Kennedy calmly observed last week on the Senate floor, denying his personal attacks were personal attacks. BUSH LIED! SADDAM NEVER LIED! Obviously Bush, an evil mastermind, was in on the plot to trick Saddam into thinking he still possessed WMD. Although Bush is an evil mastermind, at times he's the dumbest evil mastermind in history, forgetting to plant the Bloody Glove on Saddam. It's all so very clear.
