I don't understand this "legal guardian " bit at all. Surely the power of attorney is not an absolute right. She would have wanted her family to be there, at a minimum, and now he's denying the priest access to her? He has the right to change her religion?

If he decided to take her out to the barn and use her for target practice, would that be OK with the law, too?

Oh yeah...we all have to get our news from the news station now - they are telling Terri's parents nothing!!!!
Terri is back in hospice - they said her condition is stable - and that the feeding tube was just reinserted. So she has only had IV since last night....
Meanwhile the guardian ad litem only provides help in litigation and has nothing to do with actual guardian care of Terri....

Dear Mr. President, Mr. Vice President and esteemed Governor:

I will make my email very brief because you have other pressing matters. I beg of you to intervene regarding Terri Schiavo. Her husband secretly removed her from the hospital despite Gov. Bush's executive order. Terri Schiavo is in grave danger while this man is her legal guardian. I will say it again, "grave danger". I ask that something be done and that he be removed at once, or at the very least, a guard be placed on her watch 24/7.

I send this email with the utmost of urgency. Please intervene. Please ask Attorney General Ashcroft to intervene.

In PVS, there is no awareness, so affect(emotion) is inappropriate. Response to stimulation is not repeatable, their is no recognizable pattern to stimulation/response. ect. The evaluation was bogus. She was trying her hardest(a display of understanding and effort) and he saw that(or didn't give a damn), so instead of keeping up with her, he nonchalantly huried it up. She recognized and reached out for Dad.(audio) She has recall, awareness and a lot of other things. I was expecting something tricky. She has more than most democrats.

As many appropriate med folks as possible should be given this media stuff, and give their opinions whether the woman is in a PVS. Then present the pile, start in small packs to get it going, to the feds and Ashcroft's office. Include the appropriate stuff from the Terrisfight.org for at least:

You know, cpforlife.org, I read these stories. And basically, my take-away so far seems to be: Hubby better watch his butt, or perhaps he will be accused on the charge of homocide soon -- maybe even the charge of murder.

So far he doesn't seem to be a particularly careful or crafty person. (Just a brutal one.) I'll bet you if he pushes it, he will almost certainly put himself in a position where he is legally culpable -- in terms of federal law, not just state law, pertaining to capital crimes involving handicapped victims.
