She is not an organism, she is a human being with a soul. Not anymore. Her soul is already with God. A beating heart with no brain function does not constitute living.

There is, of course, "brain function".
Stick to facts and not fanciful thinking.

How does the heart know how to "beat" if she has no brain?
To: irish_lad
A beating heart with no brain function does not constitute living. They have not done tests to determine if she is brain dead. There is no way the video I saw was that of a brain dead person.
I do not pretend to know when the soul goes to God but my faith tells me that her soul is still with her.

She has brain function. It has been confirmed. The only people say Terri DOESN'T have brain function are hubby's attorney and his employees.

Her soul is already with God. Boy, I bet that information would surprise the priest who's been giving her the sacraments all this time. If only more people had your direct line to Heaven ... can you see if my grandmother is there? (/SARCASM!)

Yes, but the decision to let her die should be made by people who love her - not people who hate her and are trying to get rid of the evidence. (I know that you weren't talking about letting her go etc., but I agree with you that her soul is probably gone and just wanted to add MO.)
As many have said, when there is doubt - and omigod is there doubt here about guilt/innocence etc. - choose life. The rest can be sorted out later which is what Micheal and Felos are afraid of.

I think you should really think about what you are saying. Because as I understand it... To be absent from the Body is to be present with the Lord!
She is still in her body.... so she is not with the Lord, like you are stating!

You tell a person who is supposedly in a "vegitative" state to open their eyes repeatedly and they do - WIDE open, is that an indication that they are in a vegitative state?
It's one thing for completely random movements and such to occur, its a whole different story when the movements are obviously a REACTION to a stimulous

Huh? She's here on this earth till her heart stops beating. How cruel of you to suggest she in not a living person. Nice of you to play God and determine this is the best thing that ever happened to Terri- kill her.

No brain function????? Have you seen her EEG's. Have you seen the videos? notice no drooling, it's a conscious action to swallow. (If they had allowed her to be fed my bet would be she can swallow). Ever notice why you drool in your sleep?
NO brain function, my foot. you should be so lucky.

"A beating heart with no brain function does not constitute living." If her heart is beating on it's own and her lungs are working, doesn't that mean she has at least SOME brain activity?
