Kerry has said he would have preferred that the United States pursue more diplomacy before the war and seek a UN vote supporting the use of force against President Saddam Hussein of Iraq. Its just tough isn't it, Mr. French, nobody put a gun to your head to vote yes on the war. Keep trying to lie your way thru the election. Go ahead, pretend you really didn't vote for the war we all know you did!

the French and Russians were prepared to make an offer at the UN, but were rebuffed by American officials intent on going to war
Bellicus interuptus! How French.

In New Orleans a mayorial candidate came out weeks before the election saying he had info that "sickened him to the core" and that he'd release it in th coming days.
He didn't release it of course but it got him a ton of press and a lot of whispers about what he had. Actually I think he did release it with a lot less fanfare and it turned out to be some trivial issue that people kind of laughed off.
Point being, he built up a deuce making people think it was an ace.

Who cares what the French and Russians wanted to do? We didn't need them.

France and Russia? Even in what Kerry's saying is true, what does a compromise on their part have to do with Saddamn's not co-operating? Who cares what Russia and France were saying? Kerry must be desperate. Playing the France card. Oh, yeah. That'll play well over here...Why don't you run for president in France, Kerry? Sheesh.

Apparently the liberal morons think that France and Germany are soooo important to the U.S. and that we have screwed up royally with them. Look how Clinton pandered to the Euroweenies and other countries. What good did that do for us? We have snubbed our nose at France and Germany and our world didn't fall apart like the liberals think it did. Apparently licking the shoes of Europe is what Democrats are good at and Germany and France know it. The liberals are sooo suckered by them it's ridiculous! The problem that these candidates are going to have is trying to convince the majority of Americans that we need Germany and France - GOOD LUCK on that! Most Americans couldn't give a rat's A$$ what Germany and France do or think of us. Democrats are stuck in a time warp!

I think we could legitimately characterize this as *Nixonian*.
As to his *highest sources*: what did Kerry know and when did he know it?
To: reformedliberal
Kerry is morphing into "Senator "I have a secret" Bob Graham. First he morphed into Kennedy, Clinton, Gore and now Bob Graham. Who's next?

Kerry said that he believed his information was solid...Kerry left himself an out. He dosn't know if what he's got is true or not, and doesn't care in any case or he'd've raised Cain with the president in private.
I think it would behoove people to remember that Benedict Arnold also served in his country's military.

"Who cares what the French and Russians wanted to do? We didn't need them. "They should have compromised earlier. They probably had intelligence that we were about to strike, so they are coming to the table at the absolute last moment trying yet another stall tactic.
And it didn't work.
