Can't find a complete link to the dialogue, but during the World Series rain delay last night I flipped to Ted Koppel's Nightline and heard a Georgetown Priest, Father Kevin Wildes, expressing criticism of the Florida legislature's intervention in the Terry Schiavo matter.
I was shocked.
Can anyone relate more details of the discussion? Is Father Wildes of the Father McBrien-Father Greeley CINO (Catholic In Name Only) wing of the Church?

Regretably, while a few staunch Jesuits remain, the order as a whole has betrayed its past and gone over to the dark side. Georgetown is perhaps the very worst of the Jesuit colleges. They take great pride in their most famous graduate, Bill Clinton. They restored crucifixes to the classrooms mainly because their own students embarrassed them into doing so. They have flagrantly open gay priests on their faculty. They have a long history of disloyalty and dissent from the Church.
In even the worst universities there are usually a few, isolated faithful souls. No doubt there are one or two real Catholics on the faculty at Georgetown. But I'm sure they are few and far between, and growing fewer every day as they retire and new people are appointed to take their places.

Why do liberals so resent that Terri Schindler is still breathing air? Why do they have such hatred for this poor woman? It must be nothing more than sheer evil and self-righteousness.

Let's just say those who think there's nothing wrong with late term abortion aren't likely to be troubled by the prospect of starving a disabled adult to death. Fortunately, most people disagree.

A most astute observation... which, of course, jumps right out to any of us who have eyes to see and ears to hear.

I was watching St. Michael between twin Satans. Koppel must have said "You DO realize ..." at least a dozen times as he strove to justify executing the disabled woman--and he wanted it done YESTERDAY. As for the apostate he kept referring to as "a JESUIT priest" (with the collar I am sure he wears only on such occassions), the man seemed to find no logic in erring on the side of the defenseless woman's life when it's morally okay to kill her. He further said it was consistant with "Christian morality" though he didn't say with "Christian teaching". He meant HIS morality but Satan is a liar.
