FBI probes possible power tower sabotage October 21, 2003 — 5:24 p.m. The FBI was searching Tuesday for a man seen tampering with a major transmission line tower in Anderson, an apparent act of sabotage that one local official said has "overviews of some kind of domestic terrorist act."

A man with same description was seen a few hours earlier in Klamath Falls (north of Anderson, California)doing the same thing there. Anyone else have local news like this? We are so small that I wonder about other areas. LL

The interesting thing is that Klamath Falls IS a few hours away, so he was seen in Oregon, then down to California. Wonder where he would have gone next.

That is the thing, he was headed south. Hope they scared him and he doesn't do it again your way. I am going to listen to my scanner tomorrow to get the news a little faster if there is any. I will post if I hear anything. No description of the man yet.

We had a guy like this in our area who tampered with power lines, natural gas terminals, stuff like that. He ran a string of teens to help him do his "work." He called himself "Dr. Kaos" or something like that (it's probably his prison name now). He was an anarchist.

I's suspect ALF/ELF/Earth First or some offshoot.
