Two earlier articles (AP and CNN) used this term in their headings, which seemed to me to be in poor taste and implies no hope of recovery. I don't know how much of her problem is communication or cognitive problems. Refering to her having a brain injury would be more appropriate because she could recover God willing.

"brain injury would be more appropriate because she could recover God willing".

...God willing, she could recover no matter what they call it.

Like many people who have been half paralyzed by stroke and can no longer talk or otherwise communicate their will.

For God's sake, the question itself is horrid and inaccurate, but typical of CNN.

Voted for life.

Thank you, I found it. Still wondering about my eye sight though. It looked like the result so far was 70 to 30 to kill her. My heart aches at this result even if the question is slanted to get this result.

FOX News has a similar poll up. They still use "coma", but the rest of the wording is better, at least.

"Should the Florida woman starving to death in a coma be put back on a feeding tube?"

At least they don't play the "kept alive" BS.

When I voted, it was running 46/41/13.

Anyone else having trouble voting? I vote yes and I get "Not Found" when I click vote. This is not the first time this has happened on a CNN poll. Rigged?

"The liars on the poll use the word "comatose"!"

This is the headline on Fox News website
Comatose Woman Back on Feeding Tube

Fla. Gov. Jeb Bush issues order six days after court-mandated removal from brain-damaged woman;
husband 'saddened' state went against 'wife's wishes'

I have a question. With all the stories flying about this; did the woman sign a document or is this just a claim of the husband?
