UPDATE FROM TERRI'S VIGIL SITE ON LOCATION... by floriduh voter and drk4the1: TERRI IS NOT BEING RE-HYDRATED AT MORTON PLANT HOSPITAL IN CLEARWATER, FL. The Governor's Office is under the impression and reporting that the procedure started at 7:07 pm. While it's being reported to the family attorney that she is not going to receive anything. A telephonic hearing is scheduled to begin at 8:30 pm est with Judge Douglas Baird re: Michael Schiavo's suit against Gov. Bush and his executive order of today. Additionally, Michael S. is disputing his removal as Terri's legal guardian. Anything helpful appreciated. Contact floriduh voter or the drk screen name. We are outside fighting the mosquitoes. Thank you for your attempts at insulting me. You suggested that I am not committed to life. Your suggestion is incorrect and a mischaractrization. You have no idea how committed I still am to life. However, I am not committed to nor do I trust the pro-life MOVEMENT. As a christian, my trust is not in men or human institutions. My trust can only be in the God who alone can enlighten and change men's minds through the power of the gospel.

I have a good friend who was heavily involved in Operation Rescue for years. Many of the people involved had personal lives that are still an absolute wreck. They were so commited to the cause their families were destroyed. They got involved in a lot of destructive attitudes and behaviors. They made alot of vicious senseless attacks on people who were not yet wholly converted to their cause. As a result, many lost any resemblance to the God-loving christians they used to be. They acted, in many ways, like godless Marxist revolutionaries.

Likewise many of the freepers posting on these threads appear to behave immorally or amorally, feeling no need to treat their neighbor with respect or dignity demanded by scripture. Jesus, in commenting on the command not to kill, said that if any hate his neighbor or calls him an idiot, then it is as if he had commited murder. Isn't it odd that on a thread committed to the preserving the life of a woman, people are murdering others in their thoughts?

Political movements stand no match for the power of the Devil or the depravity of the human heart. Only the inward illumination of men's souls will ultimately change the culture of death that we live in. Legislative victories, presidential elections, court nominations will do nothing in the end. If all women today saw that abortion was a moral impossibility, if doctors and nations recognized the sanctity of all life then it would not matter how many judges or democrats or liberals were in favor of abortion or euthanasia. Judges and democrats cannot stand in the way of converted people making moral choices from an enlivened conscience and a regenerated heart. But the only way this can ever truly occur is by the sweet work of the Holy Spirit.

That influence is irresistible, my friend. It can certainly withstand the onsluaught of your pixels.

She was breathing on her own. No "machine" was keeping her alive. And she was not in a "permanent vegetative state". Disabled people are not vegetables.

Another idea I had when the opponents of this bill were complaining about having such little notice of it being brought up......

If Governor Bush had called a special session for the purpose of Terri's Bill, the opponents may have gone to Georgia (a la Texas) or Felos/Schiavo would have had advanced warning to gear up legal maneuvers.

Maybe... since they set up the special session October 9 for consideration of another matter.......Rep. Byrd and Sen. Webster constructed their strategy to tag the bill on to the schedule after the announced business was concluded. Most Senators and Representatives were present and Felos was limited to hours instead of days in preparation time to counter the efforts of the legislature should the bill pass.

I disagree that I attempted to insult you. Had that been my intention it would've been much more clear. Likewise, I don't believe I've mischaracterized your statements in the least. In fact, if you check your comments section you'll find a long, sincere reply I left for you on another thread this afternoon where you stated almost exactly what I've attributed to you here.

Yes, for once Felos had to play the game that he has been having Pat Anderson play all these years. He always knew ahead of time what his next legal maneuver would be, while Pat could only race to play catch-up. Thank you, God, for this miracle that has come to pass!

You can bet your sweet bippy that when she has a new guardiann, he will file for divorce. Part of divorce in most states is restoring the woman's name if she wishes. I think that may be why everyone has referred to her a s Schindler-Schiavo. She has never been a Schiavo. They never gave a damn about her.
