"The Florida legislature just voted overwhelmingly to give life a chance and you choose to take your teeth out at the dinner table"

ROTFL! Thanks! I needed a laugh!

God bless you, FReeper. Satan is going bananas trying to kill an innocent helpless human being. May our Heavenly Father help Terri to survive - in Jesus' Name. Amen.

Forget apologizing for any Jesuit. I got into a HUGE discussion with one regarding the Pope. He stated that he detested him. After a half hour of wrangling with this man, I asked him if there was just one thing he liked about the Pope. Anything. He told me yes, there was. Relieved. I asked him what it was.

He calmly stated "that he's gonna die someday".

Never, EVER, take any stock in any Jesuit.

Michael Schiavo's lawyer gives me the absolute creeps! Gives all lawyers a bad name. He must be getting paid a lot of money.

Please see http://webpages.charter.net/honeygrl/terri.txt

That has many (if not all) the court filings up to Sept 9 and legal Affidavits(sp?) from nurses that were filed as well.

And, by demanding justice (scary long distance & roaming charges) theoretically we shut down the government. That will teach them to get too wacky. We need to vote corrupt judges out of office BEFORE they get their pensions.

THREE CHEERS FOR THE BELTWAY!!!

There have been some very key people working night and day that nobody knows about. I don't feel right about mentioning their names, because their efforts were not done for publicity.

All of this points out the necessity of planning for contingencies well ahead of when they might be needed.

That is good, prudent advise. Unfortunately, too many people are not prudent when it comes to such things. IN addition, some folks change their minds when faced with the actuality of the circumstance.

As to the legal questions you raise, I would think that the application and ruling were a matter of public record and able to be obtained. As to the chronbology, there have been several posted on the various threads the last few days, but they may not be the precise legal documentation you are looking for. As the compareison to the other case you cite, I cannot say, but will look it up myself now that you have raised it.

I do not necessarily buy into the idea that the husband tried to kill Terri originally. If there is any evidence to that effect, you would have thought that it would have come out at the time...thought it does seem unusual for such a young person to suffer from the particular malady they attributed her collapse and brain damage to.

I do think his own motives have driven him to desire that Terri die as quqickly as possible now at best. My principle concern has been the husband's clear change in attitude and perspective after he won the malpractise suit. Afadivaits from nurses who cared for Terri indicate and substantiate this. He seems to have conflicting interests to Terri's well being now...and it seems fairly obvious.

Like with the events at Klamath Falls in 2001, there are times when matters are so extreme and time is for a fact of the essense, that appeals to the "system" are simply too slow and too inefective. At times such as that, getting the force of public opinion involved, particularly if your cause is just (and I believe the Shindler's cause was just and their motive was much more purely out of their love for their daughter and her interests), then there is sometimes an opportunity to influence things and get them back on track that circumvent the protracted and often ineffetive course of the traditional court system.

That happened in Klamath...it happened here. Heck, I suppose you could say it happened with the founding of this nation. Thank God we haven;t had to go to those extremes to get things set to right...that we still have some avenues that work short of that.

I believe that is what is really happeneing here and hope you find the legal documentation to support it. In the mean time, many had to follow their heart, the gut...and the voice of the spirit from within.

Regards.

"It depends on when, and whether the waiting room is flooded with illegals waiting for their kids' colds to be treated"

You got that right. The longest I ever waited was with an asthma attack. When I was taken in with a lacerated Achilles tendon I was seen immediately.

THANK YOU, FV, for being our eyes and ears on the frontlines. This all shows what unity of purpose and action can accomplish. I emailed all FL senators last nite with a VERY STRONG message, gist of which was "we are watching you .. we will not forget." I received automated responses from all. Not one emailed me today with an update, except for Gov. Bush. Thank you, Jeb!!! God Bless You for taking this step to stand up for life. God Bless Sen. Webster and all Sandy Murman and all those who defended Terri's (and all our) rights.

We MUST have a list of judges to with whom to get familiar for the next election ... our unity must carry through.

God Bless You, FV and ALL those keeping vigil. Prayers continue for Terri and her family. Sweet dreams, all! This has been a rollercoaster week of tension, anxiety and prayer .. time to relax momentarily .. until the next hurdle. FREEP ON! FReepers are action heroes!!!!

"I'm going to assume that the Morton Plant hospital where Terri has reportedly been taken is somewhere in the Clearwater/St.Pete general area, which is Pinellas County. Is that what you're looking for? "

My hubby grew up in Pinellas County and said that's the hospital most people are taken to there. He said it's the major hospital in town.

When you get a chance could you take a look at my post #862? The link I'm thinking of is one that had your FR screen name attached to it. I wish I'd bookmarked the link because I'd like to read it again. You had some great material there!

The Vigil updates were accurate. We just didn't know that a Mr. Marshall was calling from D.C. Thanks guys, if you did that on this thread. After his call, the IV was implemented. Seriesly. That was hugh.

My brain just doesn't work like hubby and his lawyer. That kind of meanness and greed is beyond most of us here, I hope.

If he's already writing a book, it's all about the money and I doubt he'll want to share. :)

KENTH WROTE TO JORGE: "This is not about the how much Terri is aware of, this is about a court deciding, against Constitutional law, that she be denied life due to her disability. The amount of disability should not matter when it comes to one's rights."

EXACTLY!!!
