"Michael Schiavo, meanwhile, was "deeply troubled, angry and saddened that his wife's wishes have become a political pingpong," said his attorney, George Felos. "He, as many others, is absolutely stunned at the course of events."

You bet he troubled. He knows that the longer Teri lives, the greater his chances of ending up in a jail cell are.

I can't say that many others are stunned by the course of events, but I am sure that I know three individuals that are getting nervous.

But, knowing that LE hasn't intervened so far makes me wonder what evidence they will find. Could it be that there isn't much there?

Who's authorized to order an audit of those books?

You can do a D&C on any woman who needs one without performing a abortion, as they have many (maybe that should be several) theraputic uses. Abortion means, specifically, terminating a pregnancy. Spontaneous Abortion means the body starts the abortion itself. A D&C is appropriate after one of those in many cases. That is also what is called a miscarriage. I've experience of several of those, unfortunately.

I've had five miscarriages (spontaneous abortions) and had D & C's after four of them--primarily because I didn't stop bleeding & had retained tissue from the baby or placenta. They're medically necessary.

Could Terri's case and violating the bill do it?

Terri's case could definitely do it. Disbarment, though, could be the least of his worries.

Yes, it would be enough but someone would have to file a complaint, or many people with many complaints. Think there's a shortage of those (hehe, wink wink)?

"I want to see film from Terri's bedside with her mother and father by her side, or a nurse reading from today's newspaper as another nurse puts her right hand on the Bible and assures us they are feeding Terri as fast as is medically safe."

I'm with you, RC! The same evidence you'd require to insure a POW is alive.

"please see if you can confirm whether or not she is getting hydration. I think a lot of people could stop having a heart attack as soon as it's confirmed."

I know I could! I want to hear something more from the family or those on site who are in touch with the family.

I wonder what his girlfriend thought when she realized she might have to cancel her wedding plans? Answer: I dont' care! She is just as rotten as he is. "Water seeks its own level".

Madam, I would suggest that you not engage in this kind of personal attack. Someone not conducting sufficient research does not disqualify that individual from posting on this or any other thread.

Many of us have not been able to be apprised of this situation until the last few days. These threads are, unfortunately full of wild accusations that may or may not be true. As a result, credibility suffers. Those who may prove to be very sympathetic to your position are being alientated by the attitude of many on these threads.

Please cool it. While many on these threads are passionate "believers," the atmosphere on these threads is getting toxic. If this kind of personal attack continues I am going to suggest that all of these threads get pulled from the board. I am looking for some reasonable answers, not invictive and name calling.

GREAT advice!

Google "Nobel Prize nominee" -- there are an awful lot of mentions of these for them all to be phony.

Physicians and nurses are not and should not be in the position of killing people. First, yes, it is immoral, and second, it is far too dangerous a slippery slope to forced euthanasia. With an aging baby boomer population and increased lifespan, the temptation will be there. We are already seeing signs.

If a person wants to end their own life, there are countless ways which do not involve others. People have been doing it without our help for thousands of years.

Funny, that only the medical "experts" provided by Schiavo/Felos were recognized. The medical reports provided by Pat Anderson were not.

It may be hard to accept, but that is "business as usual" for the U.S. court system.

You bet he troubled. He knows that the longer Teri lives, the greater his chances of ending up in a jail cell are.

Since Schiavo won't be getting his hands on Terri's medical trust fund proceeds any time soon, he's pissed off about how he's going to pay for the legal bills he's mounted.

Actually, at this point it may be better for him if Terri lives. Even if convicted of attempted murder, he could still get paroled someday. I don't remember what Florida's aggravating circumstances are for Murder One, but if there's something in there about torture or disabled people, he'd get the Needle.

There's enough awareness of this case that even if Terri dies, she's not going to go away. And murder will out, especially under this much exposure.

A previous post stated that hospitals are required, by law, to provide care in cases where the patient is in such a state as Miss Schiavo. Failure to do so would result in legal action against the hospital.

Attorneys such as Mr. Schiavo's surely gave reason to Shakespeare's advice to "...kill all the lawyers."
