Actually, at this point it may be better for him if Terri lives. Even if convicted of attempted murder, he could still get paroled someday. I don't remember what Florida's aggravating circumstances are for Murder One, but if there's something in there about torture or disabled people, he'd get the Needle.
There's enough awareness of this case that even if Terri dies, she's not going to go away. And murder will out, especially under this much exposure.
Somewhat more humane than what he had in motion for Terri, wouldn't you say?
