UFO still puzzles 30 years later (Coyne Incident)

MANSFIELD -- Thirty years ago tonight, strange things were happening in the skies over north central Ohio.

A close encounter in Mansfield, that has since become known as "The Coyne Incident," is still raising eyebrows among believers and UFO investigators.

I saw a UFO before it was real creepy. It was a bright white light doing insane manuevers and speeds I never seen before. Crazy stuff.

Why do you assume that you are one of the elite, superior few capable of handling it? In fact, I'll bet you us more skeptical types would react far better to a reasoned proof of existence than would you "true believers".

I have never pretended to be part of any elite on understanding UFOS etc. I still feel I'm groping around in the dark. But I have far more insight and light on it than I had 35 years ago.

As a shrink, I'm skeptical that you skeptics will en masse do that well with the phenomena when it breaks through more overtly into daily life and the world stage.

I think many will fall in line wholesale with the party line that quickly develops regarding ET's, NWO etc. Some will rebel. Many will do themselves in, no longer able to handle the contradictions to their rigidly held, afore-held constructions on reality. I have no idea what such percentages would be. But I'd be hesitant to be brashly boastful about such.

Certainly many narrow, rigid, Believers without their eyes sufficiently welded to Christ and following HIS VOICE/SPIRIT will also be rattled to their bone marrows. God's Grace and protectiveness and Mercy alone will see them through. I HOPE not many of them commit suicide!

My own life has had plenty of family and other kinds of craziness. The craziness of the end times will escalate and reality itself will become as a multidimensional MATRIX convoluting crazily and erraticly in on itself in some kind of Escher sort of moibus strip, I suspect. But, keeping one's eyes on Christ; one's hand in His--will see me through--as it has lots of other craziness.

aspects to our government--and that's just on the surface that we can see!!!

Why do you think the Senators et al are terrified to wholescale go for the DISCLOSURE project?

Why do you think so many reliable sources are waiting until they are on their death beds to reveal their knowledge?

Why do you think some such sources secret multiple copies of their testimony in multiple places as insurance?

That's a very fascinating aspect of the whole field.

Among more than supposedly 70 different ET races,

NOT ONE HAS EVER BEEN FOUND THAT DOESN'T BELIEVE IN ALMIGHTY GOD.

In one famous case of a fellow being picked up in Southern California and taken on a joy-ride--tour without the invasive procedures . . . at one point, he was asked if he wanted to pay his respects to the deity.

He asked them which one. They replied that there was only one. He was taken to a chapel area aboard the vast ship and he said he never felt God's presence anywhere or any other time like he did in that chapel.

An interesting story, for whatever it's worth.

No, the President does NOT have access to whatever he wants. My relative asserted that he, at his relatively low level of things had clearances higher than the President's. Many have asserted such.

Jimmy Carter and Dilldo Clinton both were kept from vast portions of the UFO phenomena.

I suspect Bush Sr knew most of recent Presidents because of his extensive government service and head of the CIA service.

that you have too little comfort and too much insecurity in making a decision about the evidence. So, you'll hedge your bets by refusing to make a decision.

Well and good to a point--a point that I think is well past or rapidly passing.

Remember the Texas saying . . . the only thing down the middle of the road is a yellow stripe and dead armadillos.

God seems to require that WE CHOOSE in lots of life situations. I suspect this area will make it's own realities known soon enough. But at that point, choice will certainly be required. Good or evil. Choose.

Have toyed periodically with setting up a UFO ping list. 1, 2 or 3 people every once in a while have shown an interest but never enough at one time to motivate me to actually set it up.

I didn't accuse you of that. I accused you of setting yourself up as being on a higher pedestal than the rest of us, as being better able to handle the "reality" of ET's. Here's your statement from a prior post that fully justified my comment:

As presumably one of those "whose constructions on reality are not permeable enough to face being expanded THAT much", I took issue with your assumption that the rest of us unwashed would suffer "mind fragmenting chaos" because we are not as capable of handling the "truth" as are you.

I had and have no greatly significant indication one way or the other which side of that fence you would be on.

There was just some word or phrase in your post that triggered the thought, as I recall. And, for the discussion, I wanted to note that conviction of mine.

As a shrink, I know something about people having difficulty grappling with various constructions on reality in various contexts. As a sociologist, I could say the same thing.

And I'm quite certain that your relative with his admittedly low level of things has personal knowledge as to exactly what the President has the ability and authority to see.

That is the worst type of self-important speculation imaginable on the part of your releative. Has he spoken to the President? Has he been present when the President was refused access to information he requested? If not, I submit that he is speaking from a portion of his anatomy better reserved for other bodily functons.

I'm sensing a pattern. It seems as though people on "your side" of this issue take concepts that may be applicable in a general sense and apply them to specific situations without any idea of whether they actually fit. Your relative gets told "only people with so-and-so clearance can view this." From that, he extrapolates that the President is not permitted to see it. What he ignores is that the person who gave him that general instruction obviously wasn't referring to the President, because your relative had no reason to know whethe the President was supposed to have access.

To put it in more concrete, military terms, lets say I'm the XO of a battalion, and my CO tells me "hey, we're going to be going to the field next week, but don't tell anyone." If I bump into my division commander, and he asks me if we're going to the field next week, of course I tell him yes. Only a literalist dimwit would assume that my battalion CO meant for his comments to apply to the division commander, because the context of the comment is that I'm supposed to keep it quiet from subordinates.

It's the same type of strained literalism that would lead your relative to conclude that general guidance applicable to dissemination of classified information was intended to bar access by the President.

Thus, they read "Communion" and watch "Close Encounters" and thus describe their "encounters" with "aliens" that now look exactly like those on the book cover and in the movies.

Curiously, people who have "encounters" with cats all describe the cats as generally looking the same - no cats with 2 heads, no cats with 6 legs, no cats that fly, no cats that speak strange languages. Wow, aliens that all generally look the same and cats that all generally look the same. I wonder what this all means.

You are welcome to construe it such that my relative's supriors could not have/would not have exhorted him about the highly specialized nature of his clearance.

Motivating newcomers to consider themselves an elite but also at serious risk for discounting the hazards, risks of discounting their new status would make a lot of sense to me.

I have no illusions of anything I say or believe making a lot of sense to you.

BTW, regarding the IKE thing.

There are convincing reports from Ike's associates that Ike was increasingly aware that he had lost control of the UFO field and that those who'd gained it were not to be trusted--and THAT THERE WAS NOTHING HE COULD DO ABOUT IT.

That's an awesome statement. But quite convincing given what Ike said and the source's relationship to Ike. No. I don't have that particular ref but it should be searchable on the web where I found it originally, I THINK. It may have been in a book.

CO's of Navy ships can be prevented from learning some things by skillful Chiefs or XO's. And that's small potatoes compared to the larger games in the larger arenas.
