Where did you hear that?

Does this passage in the bill mean her parents can have her removed from the hospice to get the medial care needed to resume feeding?
A person may not be held civilly liable and is not subject to regulatory or disciplinary sanctions for taking any action to comply with a stay issued by the Governor pursuant to this act.

Yahoo list helpterri. They can't confirm either.

www.flsenate.gov still has Terri's bill scheduled for 8:00AM tomorrow morning.

IMHO I don't think it addresses the issue. The bill only calls for feeding, not medical care. The bill doesn't address guardianship. Schiavo still has the power to decline medical treatment.
Be prepared for him to try anything to make sure Terri dies.
Just read where Schiavo, writing from his hideout, says he too finds it difficult to accept the court ruling ordering the g-tube removed. Truly bizarre.

If Jeb orders the feeding to resume, and resuming the feeding requires medical care, her parents could have her removed from the hospice, and those removing her would not be subject to prosecution. No?
To: ordinaryguy
On second thought, if it was not possible to resume feeding because of a medical condition. I think the state could mandate that it be provided to enforce the order to reseme feeding.
At least that's the route I would take if I were the state. I would take that position right out of the gate, claiming she needed to be stabalized before the rightful order can be implemented. Then any attempt to stop treatment by Schiavo would violate the order and he gets put in d-block.
I would love to see that.

Yes, I would assert myself to the full extent provided by the new law.

How is he having a hard time excepting this, when he is the one who has been asking for it in the first place?

Since FR is cheering this, does it mean the ghouls over at DU are pissed?I poked around there a couple of hours ago. Believe it or not, with one or two exceptions, they agree with us.

With any luck he's get disorderly in his conduct. That doesn't go over too well with hospital security.

OK. But what about Felos shopping to a friendly judge. I don't know how it would work in FL. Would he have to go to a circuit court or could he go directly to the FLSC.
If he shops the right judge he'll act immediately. Once the law is passed, the state must act quickly so any court order trying to stay the resumption of feeding would be moot.
T I don't think even a FL court would order the feeding stopped again while the issue winds its way through the process, but you never know.
Hang on, Terri. Be strong. Help is coming. You are in our prayers.

She will live, and Michael Schiavo will live out the rest of his days marked with the mark of Cain.

as we used to say.
To: Graymatter
He won't be there. He still cowers in hiding, forever, I hope.
