He's had 164 nominees confirmed since he was inaugurated.... There are currently 27 in Committee, 25 awaiting hearings and two with hearings awaiting committee votes.... There are eight nominees in the Senate of which three or so are being filibustered and the others are awaiting floor hearings.... The only nominee that has been lost so far is Estrada who pulled his name. It may well be that the ones being filibustered will never be confirmed....

As somene who has been dealing first hand with the Patriot Act, I can tell you it is not nearly as frightening to our liberties as some would have you believe. There are still many, many, many safeguards, believe me. In my case, too many for comfort.

Does that mean that if I voted for McClintock in the recall election, that I'm part of the enemy?

Where did he say that?

Just my humble opinion and why I act the way I do. I see the Democrat Party as domestic enemy number one of the Constitution and therefor it is my sworn enemy. And, in my eyes, anyone who helps to elect members of the Democrat party are aiding and abetting the enemy.

I want the Republians (or any other conservative party that can manage to elect a candidate) to control the statehouses, the local legislatures, the House, the Senate and the Presidency for the next several decades until each and every liberal activist judge in the nation who unconstitutionally makes law from the bench has retired, been impeached, died or otherwise replaced by anyone but another liberal activist.
There is no other way to restore our constitutional republic. Unconstitutional acts of Congress can be repealed.

True.

It's much harder to undo unconstitutional decisions made by marxists in black robes.

Too true.

I happen to agree with Gen. Boykin that God selected G.W. Bush. I have said in the past that I think sometimes this country just gets lucky. Truth be told, I think God has shown great favoritism towards this country and the principles upon which it was founded. However, I do believe He may be getting just a bit tired of the Godless agenda being pushed and accepted by a lot of Americans.

This is the problem I've always had with basic Libertarian analysis and strategy.

It sits in a chocolate castle with a marshmallow moat.

You elect a guy, and there's going to be a balance between his conscience and the desires of his constituents.

That ain't candyland.

The problem I've had with GOP analysis, since I joined the party, is that excuses should be made at every obstacle.

Don't you think you're being a little inconsistent with all your talk about holding their feet to the fire?

What's the breakdown between when he faced a republican senate versus a democrat senate - I bet those numbers would be interesting to see...

Well put.

The removal of Gray Davis is a step in the right direction.

The media, academia etc. just keeps vomiting out the same wicked mantra and it starts sounding like reality. When nothing could be further from the truth!

So true, I am really down tonight because I worked today, and my coworker., a very dear man of 73, who started out suppoting the war on terror, et al, has been so brainwashed by the liberal media that he is no longer supporting Bush, this is Viet Nam all over again, he is for Wesley Clark now because he knows about war and Bush has no idea what he is doing, Our boys are dying everyday, yada, yada, yada.

I am so discouraged, and wish there was some way to convey to him that there is an agenda out there to get rid of Bush and get a liberal dem into office.

This would also be why there is a 2nd Amendment. And would also explain why the gun grabbers are doing their best to claim the 2nd Amendment does not mean what it most clearly states. The anti Second Amendment crowd may not have read about the "The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots & tyrants" but they most certainly understand it on some visceral level.
